I have worn authentics for the last 10+ years and never had any issues. I skate in them, mtb, bmx and even use them for hiking! This pair literally fell apart within days. The entire sole detached around the sides then the bottom of the shoe just fell through. It's almost like the shoes weren't even glued. Not sure if this was a defective problem or if the checkered print on the canvas kept the glue from adhering

The right shoe was a full size smaller than the left shoe, as per the label on tongue of shoe. Needless to say it did not fit my foot.

I walk, hike, mountain bike, bmx, snowboard, & kayak. I'm thoroughly calloused. I use different shoes for each activity, none cause blisters or rub my skin off. The Vans Authentic very quickly ripped all the skin off my Achilles. Tried using the fabric band aids that never come off, the Vans tore through big size & tore off medium size. If I don't have to wear moleskin on a 17mile hike, I shouldn't need it to walk from parking lot into a restaurant, but that's how quickly Vans shred my skin.

Don't do it you'll be sorry

I purchased this shoes online and when I finally got them. I got delivered something completely different of what I order. I try email customer care and no answer. I call customer care and they told me all they could do is give me back my money and to donate the shoes that I got. I'm not a fan of vans but I really like this shoes so I wanted to try them. I'm very disappointed mainly because I told the customer care rep that I would like for the purchase be resend and be correct but didn't wanted to do that. Really bad customer experience, she was not mean but I think she could have done more for me .

My son wore these shoes a few times in a months span and they ripped at the top near the laces

Very upset because one shoes was a 7 and the other one was 7.5. How does that happen I had to go into a vans and exchange them .

After wearing Era's and Old Schools for 20 years, I got a pair of authentics. They were the only thing in stock in the all black. After wearing the two other shoes and then the authentics, I can say without a doubt they are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. I made the mistake of getting these before going into a new job. My heels, my back, everything waist down is killing me. I am not an old man, i started wearing vans at 8 years old. I am Vans Family for life, but I will not be buying another pair of these shoes. I just might burn them or put them through a wood chipper out of spite.

I'm sad they stopped making the authentic white low profile shoe. That is what I thought I was buying. Come to find out it's discontinued

the size was not quite same one what I had previous purchase. can't understand why the size are not consistent.

Tongue on the right shoe wasn't properly sewn on and is falling off. Unfortunately I live in an area where I just can't go and exchange them.

New sneakers had a stain on them, and had to return.

I was very disappointed with the quality of these last vans I purchased. Two weeks later the soles started to come loose. One shoe was the top side of the soles and the second on the heel end. I couldn't believe it they started coming apart this quick.

The outsole was jagged in multiple areas. I returned, awaiting refund.

All of the Vans shoes that I have purchased were a size 10.5 so I purchased a 10.5 for this shoe. It was very, very big, as if it was tagged incorrectly. Wasted shipping on this item.

The Authentic Lo Pro has been my go to for years. I ordered these thinking they were the same thing, but nope. These are a different model and I found out through a quick google search that Vans discontinued Lo Pro's. These Authentics are clunky and run much bigger. The sole was not glued down properly on the pair I received and both shoes make a horrible squeaking and popping noise with each step. Super disappointing and needless to say these will be returned ASAP.

For some reason, these hurt my son's feet. Going back to the slides.
