This is great summer shoe; easy to slip on and off; sturdy, low cut. Got mine in white, which is so fresh and stylish. Out of the box and on my feet, everybody commented, "nice shoes." So style, 5 *s. But In terms of arch support: absolutely none. Since they are low cut, no support of any kind really. Gotta pay the price to look good, I guess. Oh, also, they are cheap, which is a definite bonus.

Not perfect, but a good option. It's not the most comfortable or best looking shoe you could find, but as far as something to throw on when you just want to run out to the corner market, it's great. My only recommendation would be to get cushiony insoles if you're planning on standing around in them. The soles are very thin and flat so they don't offer much comfort.

These shoes are great looking and they fit well. As usual, Vans shoes aren't the most comfortable and tend to wear quickly, but hey - they're cheap! I couldn't find these shoes in stock anywhere but Zappos and I was upgraded to overnight shipping for free, so the buying experience was great.

Better than expected - Delivery was fast. Cost was reasonable. The shoe fits great and looks great. If you have wide feet, this is the shoe for you. I like my shoes so much I don't want to get them dirty outside. I don't wear them when the weather is rainy.

Good Shoe - Love these shoes! But on some colors, like white and tan, the back part is really thin so it is impossible to get them on without untying.

Ladies white Vans Classics - Had to order twice to get the right size, they run larger than normal. I enjoy the younger look vs. the Keds white sneaker look. However, hard to wear low cut socks because they slip off on the heel, I know the look is sockless, but don't want the sweat to make my feet stink, which I remember so well back in the 80's when we all wore them sockless!

Sacrifice for simplicity? I love the simplicity of these shoes, with the solid colors it’s easy to match with clothes. However, they crease quite easily if you're not careful and to be honest the comfort isn't anything special. But don't get me wrong, these shoes are awesome. -peace

Blisters - This shoe is great and has been for years...The canvas on the heel cup is super thin and has no padding, creating a pretty sharp little edge that will gnaw at your heel and give you a nasty blister. Be prepared to get blisters bad a few times while breaking this shoe in. The other option is to get the VANS era, which is pretty much the same shoe, and look but with some small, thin cushioning around the areas where it makes contact with your heel.

Nice shoes - Very happy with my purchase and the shoes feel great.

Good shoe - The authentic is good if you need a trendy/hip shoe which can function as a sneaker. My foot is wide & I have a high arch, so I bought a 9 even though length-wise I’m more of an 8.5. My foot moves front & back a little, but it's tight width-wise. Vans are for the more flat-footed, but I can wear the authentic for more hardcore activities and not feel like a total dork. The quality is okay for the okay price. My sister has the same pair though and she's a little more flat-footed & narrower than I am and she loves the shoe. Just keep your foot's width & height in mind.

Vans Aauthentics - Awesome shoe. The bad thing about them is that they can cut the back of your ankle pretty bad if you don't wear socks with them at first. But once you break them, in they form to your foot and feel perfect. Don't get these to skate in though, they rip really fast and easy though they do have 3 different layers and the third layer is decently strong. In my opinion, just get the Era's instead since they have padding around them.

Vans classic - Good all-around kicks. A bit wider than I'd have liked, but for casual wear they are fine.

Another great shoe - I first bought this style of Vans in 1990. It works with jeans or a mini, and after wearing the Old Skools and Mary Janes for so long, it was nice to get back into these again. Vans never have disappointed me and now I am buying them for my son.

DoggView - I have owned about 3 pairs of the Black Core Classics. I like them because of their comfort and the fact that I can wear them when I dress Bus. Casual. The only down side to these Classics is that I wear out tiny holes on the little toe region on all pairs I've every owned right around when they hit 10-12 months old.

I like the look, but they hurt! I needed a pair of casual black shoes, and these do the trick, but they hurt the back of my foot. When I first got them, I thought that they were too small, and then I realized that they are canvas and will stretch. When I wore them for an extended period of time, the way they rub your heel is completely uncomfortable. I couldn't put them on again for the next couple of days.

Off White and Hard to Clean - It is a great shoe if you can keep them clean. The moment you wear them, they get dirty. My friend told me a secret about the white Vans tho. She said you can clean them with an eraser. I haven't tried yet, so I can't solidify this. But overall, not a bad shoe at all.

California native - I remember wearing these shoes growing up in Southern California. They feel and look the same as I remember. The shoe looks great but I would recommend getting a 1/2 size larger than what one would wear. Other than that I don't see any problems.

Blisters - These are really cute when you put them on. However after an hour of walking in them, I had blisters the size of nickels on the back of each foot and I was wearing socks too. This shoe seriously needs padding at the back. Also a bit on the rubber wore away and I literally only walked an hour.

A classic you can't go wrong with - You can't go wrong with Vans. I wore them when I was a teen and recently decided to go back due to their simplicity. If you're a big guy, the padding is uncomfortable, so I had to buy an extra sole. Otherwise, I like them and am glad I made the purchase.

I haven’t worn these since... Love the look...not much support. They were a little bigger than I expected. Haven’t worn them since I was a kid, so I have to get used to them again.

I have always wanted a pair of these red Vans. I am a little disappointed in the fit. They fit a little tight across the top of my foot. I am hoping they will stretch with time. However, they still look good.

When I bought these, I expected them to have the same type of padded support around the ankle that the Slip-On Classics do. But they don't, and when I first got them, I rubbed a sore on my ankle. However, after breaking them in, they are fine.

Red baby! Ordering my Vans from Zappos could not be simpler... fast shipping and great return policy. The shoes fit great, true to size, not much arch support... it’s taking me a few times to get used to it. Looks awesome.
