Great shoes in theory, but in reality felt too loose and flimsy to be worn outside or for any length of time.

I have to say I was excited to receive my shoes, but ended up very disappointed! I had tried them on at a retailer and knew exactly what size fit, but when I received mine it seemed like someone had worn them because they were all stretched out. I checked the width which said medium. So I cannot recommend ordering shoes online.

Ordered size 7 1/2 way too large. Sent back got a 7m and they fit perfect. Ordered another color in 7m. WAy too big. Had to send back Too bad this company does not size Correctly each time. A great product IF YOU ARE LUCKY RNOUGH TO GRT A SIZE THAT FUTS CORRECTLY.

These shoes are super comfortable, but I gave a low score because it's just way too difficult to get them to fit right. I have worn these moccasins for years, and there has always been a bit of a sizing issue. But as of late, the sizing is getting worse. I am normally an 8.5 (sometimes a 9). Years ago, I used to be an 8.5 in these. Then, I felt they started running larger so I started ordering them in an 8. I would always get different colors, but then they would be inconsistent; so for example, the 8 in the black would be super snug and I'd send it back and the 8 in the navy would be fine. Recently, I ordered 2 pairs again in a size 8 to replace my old ones; they were flying off of my feet! I sent them both back and ordered them in a 7.5 instead, one was fine and was huge! This is not Zappos fault, this is Minnetonka's issue. I know the shoes are hand made so there will be some variance but the sizing has never been this inconsistent. Too much back and forth and aggravation for shoes. I contacted Minnetonka to ask about this and the associate was very rude to me. I'm done with Minnetonka, there are other comfortable moccasins out there. I am just grateful that Zappos has a great return/exchange policy and kind, professional associates!

After wearing them only 4 times the leather broke in two places making the shoes unwearable. This was the second pair of these shoes I purchased because I love them. The leather broke up at the toe box creating a giant hole at the seam, and after the lace came untied (the one thing I don't like about these shoes) when I went to retie, the lace snapped off. It was a terribly made pair of shoes this round, perhaps a bad piece of leather was used to make this, but because I don't have original packaging I am stuck with a pair of shoes that broke after only 4 uses in less than a month. I'm super disappointed. I'm a huge fan of Minnetonkas and Zappos but I feel I've been ripped off here since I have no recourse without the original packaging. A huge bummer. Beware and don't throw your packaging out in case this happens to you.

There is a bump in the inside of the moc near the top of the little toe. This was true with both pairs of shoes I purchased. They are obviously made wrong. I was able to return one pair but had already thrown out the box for the second pair so I will end up discarding them. There is no sense getting another blister. I am disappointed since I have bought Minnetonka in the past and have been satisfied.

I’ve loved Minnetonka since 9th grade and am now in my 30s. Same great quality and comfort. True to size even with my wide feet. Will purchase more in different colors.

I love these shoes, these are my second pair. They run big, though. I normally wear a 9.5 or 10, and had to return for a size 9, which fits well.

Originally ordered full size down (per sizing tips) from what I normally wear in Minnetonka, they were too small. Half size down in these is perfect.

I think I might like these if I could figure out what planet they were on when they did the sizing. I measure a 7.5 but they were huge. Got a 6.5 and they’re still too big to stay on my feet. Other reviews said they stretch so fingers crossed a 6.0 fits. I guess the compliment here is that I liked them enough to keep trying to find the right size. Only time will tell if my efforts were worth it. Hey Zappos-we need an option to mark shoes more than an entire size off!

These are super cute. I returned because they seem to run large. I wear a 9-10 depending on the brand. I ordered 9.5 and they were way to big.

Love these slippers! I wear them around the house and to run out to get the mail or take the trash out in the garage - nothing extensive. They keep my feet toasty and I love the red color.

This review is for (2) separate orders: 5-stars, 0-stars...I ordered the brown first and was so excited to own a pair of these (updated style) moccasins after 12 years. As is true for "genuine" moccasins, the width is on the wide side so they fit exactly as I expected! The soles have been updated since my last pair; which made them even better than expected. I decided to order the same size (11) and style in the grey color. I was BEYOND disappointed - Zappos fulfilled and delivered the correct size - because Minnetonka QC failed to recognize this pair definitely not sized correctly; it is, more likely, a size 12. Unfortunately, Zappos had no more size 11 when I tried to reorder. :( I absolutely recommend these shoes though! - kimnsc

This will be my second pair of Minnetonkas. These are a great moccasin and they do last. The color selection is all that can be desired. I ordered an 8.5 wide to use as a house shoe. Guess what? They're too wide. What a nice thing to happen. I plan to exchange them for an 8.5 B.

Answer before buying: Suede vs smooth leather? Will you wear with socks or bare feet? Do you have a slim foot & body or are you heavier foot and weight? These are essential to answer before deciding on size. If you are an AVERAGE size and weight and will wear with socks, suede should go with your typical shoe size. If your foot is SLENDER and you go bare foot, suede go down half a size (leather will stretch a little over time so you will either be ok with shoe being a bit loose and comfy walking around, or, go down a full size (wear socks initially to break in quicker?) but know initially it will be tighter. I am: 5'5" 114 lbs slender with shoe size 8.5 feet (normal width). Kilty suede hardsole & softsole I wear size 8 but after a few months they are loose on bare feet. I can't break in to a run without crimping my toes somewhat to control shoe from slipping (if I have no socks on). I will likely start wearing socks with them if they stretch out any more. I love wearing my kilty softsoles indoors this way, almost like no shoes at all. I have smooth leather minnetonka boat shoes hardsole in size 8 with not as much give as suede. But they feel dreamy in bare feet after stretching them out a little. No fear of them getting too loose. I also have a couple minnetonka softsole ankle booties in size 9 -- which are a perfect fit even after a few years of barefoot wearing. Wouldn't change the size.

I'm a solid 9 in almost all shoes, sandals, and boots; wide instep, narrow heel, and high arch. I bought these to wear as house shoes, without socks. They were definitely too long and large in 9M; I sized down to 8-1/2M and the length is perfect. Nice and roomy through the toes, and I snugged up the heels by shortening the leather tie cord so that my heels don't slip out. If they stretch out too much over time, I may order an 8M (half size smaller) and keep these to wear with socks. I use to live in moccasins but haven't had a pair in years. I love these.

I really wanted to buy these shoes. I ordinarily wear a 7 but the 7 was too big and the 6 1/2 was too small. Disappointing quality control from Minnetonka. I have two other pairs that are perfect fits in a 7.

The size is right on! Minnetonka moccasins are awesome! I had my last pair for over 10+ years but wanted new ones.

SO glad Zappos had my wide width size and preferred color. Theses Mocs are everything you’re looking for in a casual slip on shoe. Fit gets better and better after a few wearings a like all moccasins. My summertime favorite foot apparel for knocking around town, driving and vacation travel. My feet are happy and so can yours.
