No insert in the shoe...just a compressed piece of cardboard at best. I put in an insert and it makes a lot of improvements in feel and support. I like the toe box...nice. I hope the hold up, they look good.

I'm too used to shoelace shoes, shoes looked nice but were a little too large and the single velcro strap did not make them tight enough. Returning them was very easy!! Now I'm trying the Luthar Henson model which has 2 velcro straps

I went to the shoe store and tried on a couple of shoes, the hush puppies was so light weight, and very comfortable to walk with, I even tried on the expensive sas shoes, but the gil was a lot better, only problem was that the store did not have in stock my size, so I had to order from online.
Great experience and fast shipping for free.

I bought these for my dad who has reduced mobility: for him, putting shoes on is a challenge. These were the ones in the batch I had selected that were the easiest to put on, and luckily they were also the best looking! Oh and they were also the lightest by far.
He's super happy with them, if he wasn't worried about wearing them off too quickly he would wear them all the time.

Unfortunately, I have a high instep and swollen feet, and the EW shoes were just not wide enough to accommodate my puffy feet. I was very disappointed having to return them, as they appeared to be of good quality and appeared to be very comfortable. They were indeed very nice and practically weightless, just what I was looking for.

I purchased these about 45 days ago and after having worn them out and about I have to admit these puppies are truly comfortable. I would recommend anyone who has either flat feet or neuropothy to give these a try. I can't remember when I had such little discomfort after a full day of wearing shoes. They were just a tad wider than I expected but nothing worth sending them back for... The service was lightning fast too. Great shoes...

I got size 15E, but they seemed a bit small and the ball of my foot seemed to be too wide for them.
It might just be a Hush Puppies thing, since the other Hush Puppies I got also seemed small.

These Velcro closure shoes solve many problems for arthritis sufferers who don't want to wear runner style shoes all the time. They are easy to slip on, easy to adjust to width, and easy to fasten. The boxy toe leaves a lot of wiggle room and the arch support is pretty good. They could be a little more stylish though.

These scream, "old man shoes." But I'm now an old man who was in the market for reasonably priced, comfortable and easy to slip on shoes. And these were the only ones that truly filled the bill. Sigh.

Comfortable & well-made. I would prefer a bit more padding in the tongue, leather lining and more arch support. Nevertheless, these casual,light-weight, and easily removed shoes were quite comfortable even after a long day of tramping through airports.

Be prepared to wear a heavier texture socks for narrower feet, since the insole footprint is wide. Aside from this, shoe is comfortable and very light on the feet.

I bought these shoes because I wanted shoes that were easy to put on and reasonably priced. I also bought some power-atep insoles to use with these shoes (to give me better arch support.. These shoes are a bit on the clunky side but they are adequate and met my goals. I would put these in the OK category; you could do much worse
