Gus is the Best - These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

Great shoe, great price - It took me a long time to find a shoe that was compatable with my sensative feet. These shoes are light and very comfortable. You can't go wrong buying these!

So soft! These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I bought them at the mall, I'm usually an 11 but on these I was a 10.5, so take that into consideration. These look good, feel good and are really durable. They are so light and soft it's amazing. When you first try them you can't believe how soft and light they are, almost no weight to your feet and your feet will never hurt when you get home from a hard day's of work. My dad loves Hush Puppies, and I think I know why now.

1st time buyer - Very comfortable. I never buy shoes that cost very much, but I'm so glad I spent the money for these. I need leather shoes, my feet get too hot for tennis shoes and this pair looked quite similar to some I owned years ago. I received the shoes in 2 working days, thanks.

Size - A great and comfortable shoe with good looks. Note -it was cut a little long, so I returned for a half size smaller and it fits fine. Zappos took care of this quickly and efficiently.

Ray's - Overall, the Gus Hushpuppy is excellent. In looks, I would prefer the shoe to be less bulky, the toe a little less blunt. The laces tend to loosen after a short while, perhaps due to the newness. Comfort is superior, almost weightless. Great fit. I have noticed the feet tend to remain dry all day long. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Light as a Feather! This shoe is great! The first time I wore them, I went on a long walk, and they felt great!

So far, so good. My last shoe was a Rediflex Oxford by Red Wing, quality leather assembled in USA; however, it was black and Red Wing does not make similar brown shoe in my size, so I decided to try SAS and Hush Puppy. Both my SAS and Hush Puppies arrived in just a couple days; kudos to Zappos. First impression was that the SAS was a quality looking shoe, obviously leather and a very roomy triple E. First impression from the Hush Puppy was that it looked like it was made in China and was. I could not even tell if it was actually leather. If it was an all-leather upper, I doubt it would be that light. The triple E was more like a standard wide D. In fact, the 7.5 hush puppy was at best as wide as my size 7 Red Wing D; so, this Hush Puppy Gus shoe seems to run narrow. On the positive, it was a well constructed shoe, and did fit OK, and glad I ordered the extra wide triple E. It is a very light weight shoe, and I enjoyed wearing it to work today. It did not require any break-in time to feel comfortable. However, I am not convinced that the upper is entirely leather and that I may not be able to maintain it like a typical leather shoe. I got 15 years out of my Red Wings, and they still look like new with a little polish. I suppose that is why the Hush Puppy costs around $100 and the Red Wing and SAS run for around $200; time will tell. I am hoping that with some wear, the Hush Puppy will show some leather characteristics and stretch with my foot. The selling point of the Hush Puppy seems to be its light weight and comfort, not sporting a long lasting American-made leather shoe. The only other issue I had was that the color of the Hush Puppies was a bit lighter than shown in the picture, more of a tan brown than a dark or ox blood brown; but tan is what is specified in the drop-down color selection. With the SAS, it shows a much lighter picture, but was more brown in color, darker than the Hush Puppy, even though the pictures show the opposite.
