I have had these boots 3 years and they are my favorite. They are very comfortable. I wear them in the sun (not too hot), rain, and snow. My feet are never wet or cold. They are true to size, not too narrow. May be loose on those with narrow feet (worth putting and insert in). Dress them up or down. The older they get the better they get. Love them!

Really good boots. They are a little lighter in color than in the Zappos photos, but I suspect they will darken over time. They also do seem to run a little large. However, I think this is a plus since you want a thick sock with his style boot anyway. Now, onto the good news: these are VERY comfortable. I didn’t have to break them in at all - they were comfy from the first wearing! No blisters or sore spots! My feet didn’t get tired or hurt at all despite wearing them all day. They look cool with skinny jeans tucked in, with leggings, with a boot-cut jean or against a bare leg. They have nice height without feeling like a heel. They are very well made with thick, soft leather. I plan to keep them forever, which is more than I can say about most of my shoes. These were my first pair of Frye boots and now I absolutely have the confidence (and desire) to buy more of their boots.

I love these boots. I always wanted to get 'em and now I finally did. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9, but got these in an 8 and I'm wondering if I even could have gone down to a 7.5. They are snug around the foot, but loose on the heel which is just the way these boots are since they are slip ons. I have skinny legs so the shaft is a little wide, but not too bad. The inside is cushioned and very comfy. The color is great (I got the darker brown) and the material is worth the money. I still need to break them in, but I'm sure they last a long time.

These boots are the best I have ever owned. In fact I got rid of some other pairs of boots I had because they are so uncomfortable compared to these Frye boots. I have wanted a pair of Frye boots for many years and finally splurged. It was worth the money. I have small feet with high arches. These boots are comfortable enough to wear all day long. I plan to get several more pairs in different colors!!!

I'll start off by saying I LOVE these boots, but it did take 3 tries to figure out the right size. I've owned several pairs of Frye shoes, but never any of their boots, and typically in the shoes I'm an 8.5 or 9. That, combined with the predominant advice from other reviews that these boots tend to run big, led me to originally order the 8.5. They were so tight I could barely get them on my feet and after walking around for about 5 minutes it felt like my little toe was at risk of being rubbed right off. I immediately returned them for a 9, convinced that would do the trick, but they were still very tight/narrow. I then ordered a 9.5 and third time was the charm - they fit great, are super-comfy, and all my friends eye them with envy. I'd say these boots run very narrow, particularly toward the toe area. Lengthwise, they seem pretty true-to-size – I'm sure the 9 would have been fine for me in terms of length so if you have very narrow feet, I'd recommend ordering your usual size or a size down. Gorgeous and built to last!

Bought these boots after reading about 50 reviews. Was quite nervous, they are expensive! Bought a 1/2 size down, as suggested, and must say, they are awesome! A little tight to put on at first, but they are comfortable and very cute. Love them with skirts or skinny jeans the best, but they look great with the boot cut, too! I went with the tan ones, and they are the perfect color!

By far, these are the best boots I have ever owned. Having lived in Australia, I thought that Uggs were the end all, be all. Until now. Don't get me wrong, Uggs are nice boots, but Frye is the one boot I turn to again and again. It goes well with just about everything. I am constantly receiving compliments on these boots. There was virtually no break-in period. I did order my usual size and quickly realized I needed to go down a half size. Perfect! Zappos took care of everything. Zero hassle! I seriously doubt I'll ever buy shoes anywhere else now.

These boots are amazing! I usually wear from 8-8.5 and have a fairly wide foot... the 8 is perfect. I have a pair of Engineer 15R in size 8 and I should have gotten an 8.5 as they run smaller than the Harness\' do... In any case, the dark brown color is a warm chesnut and looks great with all colors, even black! Like everyone else has said, dress \'em up or down, wear jeans or a skirt... it\'s all good and super fabulous! Awesome purchase for fall/winter!! Go for it!

I can't stop wearing these boots! Once you figure out your correct size they are very comfortable. I wear an 8 or 8 1/2 and the 7 1/2 are perfect. If your feet and ankles are narrow you can probably go down a full size. I think if your foot is normal width, you go down 1/2 a size and for wider feet regular or even 1/2 size up is good. That's what I have learned from reading all the reviews. They don't seem to feel heavy once they are on your feet and the slight slippage in the heel is normal for a pull on boot. I wear mine without socks since it's not that cold here now. Love them!

I listened to all the reviews and ordered a 6.5 instead of my usual 7. These boots fit perfectly and were comfortable right out of the box. I was so impressed with the quality. But I knew alot about Frye Boots and this is one of those "you get what you pay for" boot. They look great with jeans and my long skirts. You can dress them up or down. This is my best boot purchase ever!!

Just bought these; ordered yesterday, and was upgraded to free next day air shipping. Got them today, and they fit great! I normally wear a 9N, and the 8.5M was perfect; half size down seems to be correct. The leather's very soft already, and I'm sure that it will only get better with time.

I got these boots during a bout of insomnia shopping, and have not regretted it! They are incredibly comfortable and look great both under pants as well as on display with a skirt. I got black and I hope that they age as well as I have seen some of the brown boots!

These boots fit wonderfully! They are a great pick for fall. I have pretty narrow feet and they fit perfectly. Also, go up a half size from your normal size for a good fit. Worth the money!

I bought these boots in Tan and feel like it's the perfect color. They look a bit darker in person and it match with virtually anything. I also ordered a half size smaller as recommended by the reviewers and it was the right move! They fit well, although a bit stiff at first. I needed to break into them. I received two compliments the first time I wore them. These boots are a splurge but so worth it!

Love them! Will definitely wear them with thick socks at first, as they\'re a little loose and rub, but can\'t wait to break them in and wear them forever. A true classic.

I ordered these boots after much research and anticipation. I absolutely love them. I am a size 12 in women\'s dress shoes with a relatively narrow foot. I ordered the 11 and they are perfect. I wear them to the barn with jeans and they are appropriate and also stylish, but I also dress them up with nice jeans and they look great. A skinny jean tucked in works too. The height is ideal because at mid-calf they fit under my boot cut jeans and can also have pants tucked in. I literally wear these boots 3-5 days a week. Well worth it.

Just love them! I've had them two days and can't stop wearing them. I have large calves which can be hard to fit with boots. The calf part was a little snug at first, but has already stretched out well and I could easily wear these with a skirt.

Let me start this review by saying that I have a high arch and it is hard for me to find comfortable shoes, including sneakers. I was a little apprehensive at first about buying these boots because of the price, but the more I researched the brand, the more I decided to purchase them. I took other reviewer's advice (thank you!) and ordered half a size down, a 6.5; they fit perfectly, not too big and not too tight. I mostly wear either white, black, or gray clothes but the black boots were too biker for me, so I ordered the chocolate vintage brown, which is a little bit darker than showed in the picture but can definitely be worn with a lot of colors. Comfort, good quality and style are the three most important things when buying a shoe and you will get all of these when you purchase this fabulous boot. Oh, and by the way, Zappos is an outstanding company.

An old roommate had a pair of these and while they were very cute on her, I never thought I could pull them off. Well, after months of thinking about them, I decided to order my own and am I ever glad I did! These boots are beautiful, through and through, but if you\'re familiar with Frye, you already know how incredibly well-made their products are. As for sizing, I ordered a half size down as suggested, but the boots were still too big, literally falling off my feet. My feet are size 9 and pretty narrow - the 8 works well for me. It\'s still a bit looser than I\'m used to, but I don\'t think I could comfortably wear a 7 1/2. The heel slips a little, but that\'s standard for these boots. If you\'re even considering them, just order a pair. It is money well spent.

I am very pleased w/ my zappo\'s purchase. I purchased some frye boots for the first time and they were delivered to my door within 5 days! The other reviews helped me choose my correct size. Go with a half size smaller than your normal for these boots. They seem a little snug at first, but wear them a few times and they will be perfect!

These boots are fantastic! I have wanted Frye boots for awhile and I got this pair a week ago and once I saw how awesome they were, I ordered a second pair in a different style as well. I honestly have worn them every day since I got them; comfortable and stylish whether with jeans or a skirt. They will surely be a fall weather staple!

I am so glad that I read other owner postings before I purchased. I normally wear a 8, but I am happy to have purchased a 1/2 size smaller. I am still struggling to get the boot to "open" a bit so I can get my foot inside. I am afraid of stretching out the harness too much. These are absolutely beautiful boots, been lusting after them for many years. Zappos was so kind to upgrade my shipping, I got them really fast! Thank you Zappos.

I always knew about the extraordinary quality of Frye, but know I can vouch for it. These boots are of quality leather and were comfortable right out of the box. I normally wear a size 7.5-8, so I went with the 7.5 and glad that I did. They fit a bit tight in the mid-arch, but with minimal wear stretched out to a most comfortable fit. As always, Zappos delivered in record time, even living out of country. Zappos rocks when it comes to quality and timeliness. Thanks Zappos!

Great boots! I usually wear size 8 or 8/12, and the size 8 I ordered fit perfectly. Looks great with skirts and with skinny jeans tucked in. Leather is very high quality.
