These boots are amazing they are so comfy and go with everything. Great from later summer all the way through late spring. True to size.

These boots are the BEST! I ordered them and they arrived the next day, they fit perfectly. I have wanted these things for years and finally bit the bullet! No regrets at all! They are a true fit to size, love the color and style. I already got my $ worth and will wear these puppies for many years to come!! Thanks Zappos, your customer service is unreal...nobody else delivers like you do...keep up the awesome work!

First let me start by agreeing with almost every other reviewer. Order a full size down! I almost always wear an 8 and had to return the size 8 pair that I bought for a size 7. Also the front of the boot is a little narrow and tight, but the leather will stretch. I bought these boots for a fashion boot and a motorcycle riding boot. I have ridden with them a few times and have been happy with how they fit. The harness offers protection and the non-skid leather sole is a must for riding boots. I am very happy with these boots. They are very stylish and functional. An all around great boot. I'm looking forward to breaking them in and hope to have them for years!

I love my Frye boots and have worn them everyday since I purchased them. The leather is great quality and the soles will shape to your foot. I am usually an 8, but needed a 7.5 in these boots due to my narrow feet.

My husband and I have both purchased Frye 12R boots. They fit wonderfully and we get a lot of compliments on them. They were shipped to us in mock speed and are the most comfortable boots we have ever owned.

I typically wear a 10-11 in boots and the 11 was way too narrow for my foot. This is a beautiful well made boot and for those with narrow feet it would be a great fit.I did get the boot on but there was no way I could wear it that tight. I then ordered the men's version of this boot in a wide and the calf was too tight on it. Now I've decided to go with the Engineer in black. Every internet shopping site should take lessons from the people at Zappos. I've never received better service anywhere, ever! Hopefully,the Engineer will work for me but if not I know I can send it back to Zappos and try another style, brand, etc. Talk about putting the customer first! WOW!

Boots arrived quickly and are fantastic! Zappos could not have been easier. Boots are a little roomy at the ankles, perhaps its just me getting used to the cowboy boot style. I'm so excited wearing them!

I LOVE these boots. I have them in red. These were actually my third pair of Frye boots. They are so comfortable I wear them to work where I stand all day. They don't even need breaking in, and they look amazing. I get compliments on these boots all the time, and I wear these with everything. I used to be a jeans and tennis shoes girl, now I'm a jeans and Frye boots girl.

I've owned these boots for years and even though I wear them almost weekly, they still look great. They are very comfortable and look and wear great.

Great boots. Ordered them after 3:00 pm on a Thursday and they arrived by Friday A.M. Amazing!!! Very comfortable and I did order a half size smaller and the fit was great. Shaft height is perfect and leg diameter was right on. My calves are not too thin and not big either. Zappos customer service rep. was awesome. Very friendly and efficient. My first order but definitely not my last. Thanks again.

Bought these boots for my girlfriend and besides being very sexy on her she absolutely loves them and the way the feel. She tells me that she gets looks and compliments every time she wears them.

I ordered these a couple days after Christmas as a present to myself, since I’d been eyeing these for a few years. I had been lusting after the tan, but at the last minute decided to go for the red! I have not regretted that at all, I have enough brown shoes and boots. I normally wear 9.5-10 and ordered these in 9.5. With a good pair of boot socks, these are perfect in fit, with enough room to wiggle my toes. I have worn these boots literally every day since I got them; at work, on dates, even to Mass. They go equally well with everything in my wardrobe, though keep in mind I tend toward darker colors, not pastels or khaki. The leather is thick and sturdy, though it will soften up and stretch a bit with wear. The shaft is not as stiff as I thought it would be and has now slouched down a bit, but that doesn’t bother me. The low heel puts your foot in a natural position, and makes the boots very comfortable to wear, though not in a cushiony way. I normally hate to spend much money on clothes or shoes, especially since a lot of women’s apparel falls apart quickly. I don’t mind spending the money on something that will last a long time, though. While the cowgirl look might not always be in fashion, I doubt it will ever look outlandishly out of date. I look forward to wearing these boots for years to come.

I love the boots. They are excellent quality and definitely made to last a lifetime. I normally were a size 9.5 or 10 but based on other reviews that said they run big, I ordered a 9.5. Much to my disappointment they were too big. I called Zappos to find out about an exchange and they shipped me the 9's next day air, no charge. I had my boots before I even had a chance to mail back the others. Great boots! Great service! I am a happy customer that shall return!

I love my Frye boots. Normally I wear a 6.5 or a 7, so I ordered the 6.5s but they were definitely too big. Thanks to Zappos’ excellent exchange policy I was able to get boots in a size 6 sent to me overnight (with free shipping!). The 6s feel much better. These are heavy boots, but very comfortable. Gorgeous, rich leather. I’ll be wearing these for a long time!

OH. MY. GOD. These are FABULOUS!!! All boots, even Frye, are NEVER comfortable to me, I wear them anyway. Fryes usually come the closest to comfortable for me. But these Harness 12R in Crazy Horse Dark Brown fit like gloves right out of the box. Wore them the next 3 days all over downtown Portland, probably hoofed over 10-15 miles without a blister, redspot, nothing! I’ll keep them forever!

I have owned a pair of these boots for several years and I just love them. I bought another pair as a gift to my mom, who also loves them!! They are so classic and will last a lifetime. Definitely worth the investment!!!!

I have searched for the perfect boots for awhile and actually ordered several different styles and colors from Zappos. Their service was wonderful and efficient as always...I finally decided on the Frye Harness boot in Crazy Horse and IT IS PERFECT!!!!! I ordered a size down which fit just right and they were comfortable as soon as I put them on - they look like I've had them for years and I plan owning them forever!!

I LOVE this boot! I am pretty much always a 9.5 in shoes and when I received the 9.5 they were a little too big but Zappos had the 9 shipped out to me the next day! I ordered them in the chocolate vintage and I love the color.

Excellent boots. So glad I bought them. Can wear them to work, can wear them out. Well constructed, leather wears well. Surprisingly comfortable. Other reviews I read before buying said I'd cry every time I wear them... this was not my experience, even from first time wearing. I wear with a decent pair of socks (thin hiking socks) and have had no problems at all. In fact, I even walk my dogs in them when I get home from work!

I hoped to get these for Christmas. So glad I treated myself! They're beautifully made and 'crazy horse brown' is a beautiful distressed golden brown pebbly leather. Usually wear a 9 1/2. Ordered a 9 and they're perfect. I wear orthotics which fit perfectly. After reading some of the other reviews I thought they would take a while to break in. Mine felt great from the first time I put them on. The upper portion is not too wide and looks neat and trim with leggings and skinny jeans. They should be a staple in any well dressed woman's wardrobe! I only wish I could wear them to work but they are a bit too rugged for my particular workplace.

Beautiful boots, very well-made. I had to order a size up because they do fit a bit narrow for my wide feet. However, other cowboy boots I have bought take a while to break in, so I am expecting that to be the case here, too.

I originally wanted more of a biker boot so I ordered a pair of the Angel boots from Lucky I totally loved them online and finally built up my courage and my funds and ordered them. I am not a big person and they came up almost to half way up my knee and they were as big in the calf as my wellies. I have a girlfriend that griped for years about how boots are too tight in the calf and she couldn’t wear them and was distraught, and apparently the fashion world heard her cry and gave up on the rest of us. Well, with tears in my eyes I had to return them and resume my search. Frye boots have intrigued me for some time, the style is a classic, the quality is impeccable and I couldn’t be happier. The leather is AMAZING and as another reviewer wrote, the toe box is a little tight when you first get them, but the leather stretches in the first wearing. The color is amazing and just gets more and more amazing with every wear. I ordered a 7 1/2 as many people were saying that they run a little big and it’s perfect, I’d say I’m usually an 8. I completely love them and they are great for a night out under a pair of jeans. I wear these boots because I can’t wear heels, I have arch issues, and while I doubt these will cure that, and I haven’t attempted to insert my orthotics (never thought I’d use the word "orthotics" while I’m still in my 20s Oy!). They are quite comfortable and the men I associate with who are much more fashion conscious than I am, commented at the first sight of them. I believe the comment was something like, "Wow Alli! Nice boots!" Apparently a step up from my Orthopeodic-functional footwear. I don’t tuck my pant-legs into them, but I guess it could work. I love these boots, they’re just great quality.

These boots are great!!! I usually wear an 8.5 -9, but these boots run big and size 8 ended up being what fit... so order a size down.

I lived in these boots back in 1969- 1974 -- you remember Woodstock, Viet Nam, The Revolution.... So I bought a pair for myself, and my wife. Sure I can\'t bring back the summer of 69' nor can I make the bald spot on my head fill with once what was shoulder length hair, but our feet sure feel great. True fit, old friends, and the attitude lives on...

These are awesome boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The craftsmanship and quality are the best and they took no break-in time! The distressed leather is soft and comfortable. (I also have the shorter 8 in. harness in smooth leather and it took significantly longer to break in.) I wear these boots with skirts and all styles of jeans from skinny's to flares and they look great with everything! Just as perfect with a jeans skirt or for adding edge to a classic velvet pencil skirt.
