Love these boots! Got them in a 8 1/2, I usually wear a 9 but they run a bit big. These are awesome high quality boots!

I love these boots! I have wanted them for years and finally broke down and and splurged. They are a little stiff at first but I have worn them about half a dozen times and I am starting to notice them loosen up. I ordered a half size larger because I have thick calves and a high instep and it is perfect. I hope to have these for a long, long time!

I'd never before spent this kind of money on a pair of shoes of any kind. I doubt I ever will again, because these are simply the best-looking, best-made, most comfortable boots I have ever worn, and I anticipate wearing them for a decade before I consider replacing them. Because I have wider feet, I am used to buying half a size up, but had tried these on in 8 and 9 in a store, so I knew I needed an 8.5. Perfect fit. Amazing boots.

I almost always wear a seven, so I ordered a seven even though a lot of reviews said to go down half a size. I have kinda wide feet though, they're not very lady-like to be totally honest. Glad I ordered true to size! When they got here, they were perfect. I had to stand up and use the straps to pull them on, so they are snug, like they're supposed to be. Love at first wear.

Love the boots! I wear a 7.5 and ordered a 7 and they fit perfectly. I was able to break them in with wearing them around the house a few afternoons. Yeah, Zappos!

have to say that I really love these boots. The 1 1/2 inch heel is perfect. They look great over jeans, under jeans, with leggings, dresses and shorts. A really fabulous addition to my shoe collection. They are versatile and I've been wearing them all the time. I can't wait until they are a little bit more beaten up looking. I have heard some say that these aren't comfortable, but they don't bother me. This is my new favorite pair of boots. I really debated between getting the 12 or 15 inch version, but I think the 12 is more versatile.

Wonderful boot. Suggestion for all you wide feet ladies - size up a half size. I went with a 9.5, rather than the 9, it was a little roomy, but comfortable. Better to have a little more toe room, than not enough, especially with thick leather. Secondly, If you have thicker calves and are at least an 8, you should be fine. As the higher the size, I noticed the larger the boot opening is. Take the into consideration, especially if you're on the shorter side like me.

My daughter loved these boots and hasn't taken them off since she got them for Christmas! I loved the very fast service from Zappos delivery in less than a week. Excellent job!

I've been wearing this boot for more than a year and I still love it as much as the day I bought it (well, more really, because it was too narrow until I broke it in for a few days - I'm 6½ with normal width feet, but this felt a little narrow at first, but perfect now). It will be hard to get them on and off at first, but you will be a pro in under a week, haha. I am on my feet at work and wearing this boot (day after day) feels just as good as my Danskos (but looks a lot better). You wont regret buying these shoes, unless you don't wear them or something. Wear them every day... you'll be happy:)

These boots were lighter than pictured-- more weathered cream with darker toe (antiquing). I expect they will darken with wear. As all Frye Harness boots, these are narrow and long. That said, they are flattering, and high quality. Once broken in (by third wear), they are comfortable and a great boot! With normal care, you could truly have this boot your entire life.

Awesome service. I have never had such good service on-line or off. The first pair of boots I received were too big but no problem - a prepaid return sticker made the return painless. Then when I went to reorder, the service agent had the correct size in the mail while I was still on the phone. No credit card adjustment was required and two days later I had my boots.

I usually wear a 9.5 in Fryes (Erin oxford, various heels), but I had to size down to an 8.5 in this boot. I also wear these with thick wool socks to take up more space. I've got narrow feet with a flat arch, though, so that's probably the reason. These boots are incredibly comfortable and took no breaking in--I've heard the distressed leather is stiffer than the single-color leather and takes more breaking in. I bought a black pair and they fit great right off of the bat.

I love the color. Black can be so boring. You just can't beat Frye for comfort and durability. Worth every penny.

I love these boots. I want to wear them every day. I am on my feet a lot throughout the day and they never hurt at the end of the day. They are heavy, though, and that is a little hard to get used to. This is the best color too...looks a little more feminine than the brown and black.

I finally got to wear my new Black Harness boots today at the mall! I know that once I break these completely in, I'll want the brown pair too. These were comfy even from the start. I usually wear a 6, but ordered the 5.5 after reading the reviews. I used thin socks and they fit perfectly. I wore these with my skinny jeans. Tried them with leggings and tights, and I am now addicted. They were easy to pull on and off. The leather is beautiful. On the black style, it's beautiful soft leather and by the end of the day, already felt more comfortable. If you like wearing thick socks with your boots, then order your normal size. Definitely would recommend these to anyone -- totally worth the price since these are timeless. Zappos was so great. Upgraded me to the overnight shipping and got my boots the next day. I had ordered a different pair of shoes from another site 2 days after I ordered this pair, and I am still waiting for them to arrive. Thanks, Zappos!

Loved the dark charcoal-not-black color and find, as will all Fryes, the leather is outstanding. I have a heavier than average calf, and found this height fits - and is comfortable without binding or being tight at the top. I wish Frye made a wider tall harness boot version. Ran true to size. Plenty of room in the toe area, too.

Best boots ever! I have been wearing them almost every day since receiving them. I don't have skinny calves and I can wear them with my skinny jeans tucked in. Yea! What more can I say?

These boots are awesome! I was looking for a pair of boots that I could dress up or down, but wasn't sure of an exact style. After checking these out on Zappos, I ordered them on a whim. I wound up LOVING them! They really make the outfit, and are so cute with skinny jeans and dresses. After reading other reviews I did decide to go a half size down...it was a good choice, as my normal size (8½) would have been way too big.

These boots are everything I thought they would be. I had eyed them for years but couldn't take the plunge, but now I am so glad I did. They are comfortable all day long! At first I had to "break them in" - bending the sole by walking in an exaggerated fashion--but once I did that, they were perfect. Worth every penny and Zappos' free shipping made it an even easier decision!

I now own 5 pairs of this style--clearly an obsession for me! I wear 8.5-9 in shoes/boots, and I take 8.5 in these. They loosen up and become comfortable fairly quickly. (The different leathers take different amounts of time to break in.) I can do a lot of city walking in these boots with relative ease. (They are boots, not sneakers, so it is relative!) They dress up or down, and I think they're dead sexy! With dresses, jeans, whatever, these are versatile boots.

I had a great experience with Zappos and I love my black Frye boots. I got my boots right away, they were just what I wanted. The shipping was free and it would have been free back. How cool is that?

There are a lot of good color options for this boot. I bought tan. I would describe this color as antiqued camel, the picture does look to be true on my monitor. There is a lot of grey to it, in fact, I wonder if this is an oiled leather. I like the color. It does not look so brand new. This is a great classic boot. One reason that Zappos is so great is that I am often between 8½ and a 9, I am able to order the two sizes and determine which one fits best.

Comfortable once you break them in. Felt they run large, so order half size down. Felt a little narrow, but they loosen up with a few wears.

The most awesome boots I've ever bought, worth the money. I have extremely narrow feet and even I can wear them, they are still a little floppy but are good with 2 pair of socks. Really sexy cool and I get compliments and looks whenever I wear them. Buy these boots!
