The reviews (which I should have read beforehand) are correct. The boot was a full 1/2 size too big. Beautiful construction, but sadly I had to return them.

I'm a huge Frye Harness fan, and have too many but when I saw these in suede, I had to have them, they are perfection!

In love! I bought these true to size 8 1/2. They slip a little, but feel good. They do take some time to break in but are so gorgeous I wear them in my pajamas around the house. The tan color is really nice.

Like many others, I coveted these boots for years before I stumbled on a killer sale and had to splurge. What can I say. It was love at first wear. I am a true size 9 in all other shoes - even Frye boots - but these fit me best in an 8½. They took just a few days of devoted wear before they molded to my feet, but they were never uncomfortable. They do eat socks, so I wear them barefoot. These boots are sexy, man. They look great with anything - dresses, leggings, skinny jeans - and are rugged enough I did not think twice wearing them on a short but muddy hike. I have the tan which truly complements any outfit, and now I am eyeballing the charcoal. I am a boot devotee - they are really all I wear - and if I had to keep just one pair it would be these.

I love these boots! They look and feel wonderful! The tread is also great. I am a size 8½ or 9 and I got the 9. They fit perfectly. I highly recommend them.

These are the most beautiful, bad ass boots I have ever had on my feet! It is breaking my heart that I can't wear them because my foot needs a wide width and these boots only come in medium width. I usually wear a size 8, but they run a 1/2 size larger than I needed, so I exchanged them for a 7 1/2. They arrived in 2 days and have to say, Zappos customer service is fabulous ~ they make a exchange or return effortless. I was praying that the Shoe Fairy would somehow make the 7 1/2 size FEEL wider, but of course that was just wishful thinking, and I have to return them. I am crying as I write this. Wanted them SO BAD!!! Frye, please make your boots in a wide width! I had to give the Comfort only one star because of the width problem ~ so sorry...

Had a pair of Frye boots years ago and loved them so sprung for the harness boots. So happy with them-needed just a bit of breaking in but they are comfortable and I know I will have them for years.

A friend has the Frye Harness 8R boot and I have always loved the look of them. I just love how substantial they look and love the square toe. Have been wanting to order a pair for 2 years and just decided to bite the bullet. I ordered the boot in my normal size 9 but just wasn't sure about the fit so ordered the 8.5 to do a comparison. That was the right move for me. I was able to really feel the differences in how they fit. Like so many others I opted to go with the half size smaller than my normal size. At the moment I am wearing just a trouser sock but see in the future if they stretch out a little more I will be able to wear a thin sock. These boots are so comfortable. I have been wearing them all day and have gotten multiple compliments on them each time I wear them. I did notice on the pair that I returned that the circumference of one boot at the top was noticeably larger than the other. I love my Frye's and would highly recommend them.

Excellent boots, great quality. I was unsure when I ordered these boots which size to get after reading several reviews that said the boots runs a half size too big. I have several pairs of Frye boots and I wear a size 7.5 in them. I have a high arch and so I decided to stick with my normal size in Frye boots and I am glad I did! These boots fit very well. I am happy I purchased them and I will likely order a pair of the Harness 8r boots. After ordering from Zappos my boots arrived within 36hrs too.

These are cool and classic which withstands the test of time no matter your age or the era. They are made for a woman who owns herself and is comfortable rocking it out. They are definitely not for the faint of heart. The fit is perfect and there is enough room for your foot to move with the boot. I am very excited to have them in my shoe-drobe especially since I have coveted these exact boots since 1993. I wear a very small size and Zappos delivered! Woohoo!
