I am very well pleased with the product and service I've received from Zappos. I intend to do most if not all of my shoe buying needs from Zappos.

I purchased a size 7, which is the closest I could get to a woman's 8. They are a bit large, but I enjoy clomping around in imposing boots. Women should not hesitate to buy men's shoes if they like the style. These felt great from the first wear. The leather is softer and a bit thinner in the leg part which worried me at first, but it's of a fine and sturdy quality. I was impressed with the heel. I quickly grind boot-soles down with my miles of walking, but after weeks of wearing them, the heel is barely scuffed. I cannot say the same of my Frye boots. They are perfect for jeans or skirts, and lend a bit of sass to more formal outfits. For the money, this is a great product.

Aside from donning low-cut snow boots for shoveling the white stuff, I've never been one to wear boots since I couldn't see how they would be more comfortable than a normal pair of shoes. So, after hearing a friend rave about how comfortable his new Durangos were, I decided to give them a shot and considering Zappos' stellar no-hassle return policy, I had nothing to lose. I decided on this pair of DB510's due to the good reviews, the way they looked on the site and on the demonstration video. The very next day when I opened the box, needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed with the build quality and most importantly, how "bad-ass" (apologies for the swear word, but that's the first thing everyone in the office said when they saw them) they looked. I immediately tried them on and aside from the initial odd sensation of trying to walk in "real" boots for the first time, they fit properly and true to my size right from the get go. They took a little less than a week to break-in, but in all honesty, there was no discomfort whatsoever during that period of time. These boots are now my go to footwear when going out and the great part is that every single time I wear them, I always receive compliments and questions on where I got them. All in all, I am now a convert and have purchased another few boots to add to my collection. If I were to make a couple of recommendations, the first would be to have a proper foot sizing to get your true size. I suspect most of the folks complaining about getting a size up have never had their feet properly sized for shoes. Just head to any shoe store at the end of your day (since feet swell throughout the day) and ask to have your sizing done. Second, applying a nice thin coating of mink oil to make them good and water-resistant also has the added benefit of giving the leather a deeper and richer color.

I have recently purchased my second pair of these. The first pair lasted about 15 years. I had them resoled about every year, but they were well worth it. I have passed my first pair along to my son, who likes the worn look. I wear them every day, for about every situation -- work, shopping, those events one gets "asked" to accompany one's spouse to...they are comfortable, warm yet the material breathes, and sturdy. Before trench coats became symbolic code for malcontents and the iniquitous, I used to wear these, a black leather trench, fingerless gloves and black Gargoyle sunglasses throughout the winter. Now I get funny looks walking into banks, near schools and attending children's matinee showings at a local theater. Also one maitre d' hotel at a restaurant was particularly unfriendly, possibly though because I was yelling at a family beside me, How much for the little girl? How much for the women? Your women. I want to buy your women. The little girl, your daughters...sell them to me. Sell me your children! I don't blame that on the boots though. The people were obviously philistines with no appreciation of the fine arts. The boots helped me outrun the police who were summoned for some reason and were comfortable in the performance.

I originally purchased the Frye harness boot but they were just too big around the calves for me and looked sloppy. These Durango's look similar to the Frye's and just as well made but at a better price. If you have skinny legs, these might work better than Frye's.

I bought these for my husband and he really likes them. He has a narrow heel and the slippage was slight but okay. The leather is quality and the styling very nice.

I had a pair of these thirty years ago. I missed my old pair, and finally decided to order a pair. I like that they come in wide sizes. I enjoy wearing these boots, but the problems I once had with them are still there. (Thirty years with no improvements.)
I'm not as young as I was and find these boots hard to put on. I suspect I'll take them to a shoe repair place and have a zipper added.
These boots lack a smooth footbed. I'd add my own insole, except with how difficult it is for me to put them on, the insole would end up shoved into the toebox. Fixing the footbed will have to wait until I get the zipper added.
The black dye bleeds, so you'll end up with black stains on the inside cuffs of your pants. It will also stain your socks, so wear black ones.

Very nice looking boots. Would prefer not to have a logo stamped into the leather anywhere, however. Thankfully, it's on the back strap and that's relatively easy to replace. Having an option for brass hardware would be nice too, as well as straight tops without the divots.

The boots look great! As other have mentioned, the top is quite narrow when compared to other slip-on boots. I don’t think it’s reason to knock points off since these are motorcycle boots and tight is what keeps boots on feet should you take a fall; however it does take a bit of finesse to get them on, and take them off.
I wore them out and about for one day and they’ve already begun to break in nicely. My only concern that keeps the rating from being higher was the shipping. Zappos please reconsider shipping with USPS; they’re notorious for not delivering on time snd their tracking is by no means great. It also would’ve been nice to know I could’ve signed up for Zappos VIP prior to ordering which would’ve cut my shipping time by half. I was really disappointed when I wasn’t able to break these new boots in on a recent day trip since they weren’t delivered on the promised date.

I bought them for riding, but they are comfortable enough for daily wear. They could use a better insole...

Haven't worn them yet since they were bought for the fall but as previous reviews have stated BUY A SIZE SMALLER!
They're well made and good quality for the price, a better bet than the Frye boot.

These are excellent boots. They arrived very fast, are a great style, and look. They are a little big, I normally wear a 10 but these are about a half size to big. Though I found Amazon to be a bit cheaper after I bought these. I do like the boots. They are comfortable when riding. I should have looked at Amazon before purchasing.

Received item a week ago, beautiful boots but finish could be a bit cleaner. Boot is a tad big, so I should have ordered 1/2 size less..

Boots are as described. I would like to say that a D isn't as wide as I had hoped. The leather will relax and they will be fine but if your foot is wide go with ee

This is a very nice boot with soft leather upper and stiffer leather on the lower. Good styling and comfortable. Runs a little big, but not enough to warrant a size change. Sole seems solid and stitching is good too. Looks like it should hold up over time.

I ordered a size 12 EE. I've read a lot of reviews that said to order a half size smaller, but I went ahead and ordered my normal size of 12 and they fit perfect in that aspect. The only problem I have in the sizing is with the width. I ordered EE, and these are A LOT more narrow than any other shoe or boot I own. Apparently Durango doesn't know what EE is. Hopefully they break in good, because the width is pretty tight out of the box. The only other concern I have is the durability in the long run. The leather is pretty flimsy and thin. A lot of reviewers say these boots last for years, and hopefully they're right.

By far the best boots I have ever had, but I am on my third pair and this pair is dying my caves black. I emailed customer support and they told me nothing has changed in their process. I am thinking they cheapened the dye up. Hopefully it doesnt continue forever. I will give it another week or so.

I have a high instep and boots have always been a hit or miss, in this case, the instep was just too tight.

These are nice looking and seem sturdy, but I didn’t buy them to make a fashion statement. I bought them for riding motorcycles, and they don’t work very well for that, at least not if you wear boot-cut jeans or cargo pants: the wind rides up the flat surface of the boots and drives my cuffs right up over the tops of these eleven inch boots. Looks dorky, feels uncomfortable, and yesterday I came home with sunburned legs and two dead bees in my left boot. A good boot for the money, but I’m sorry I bought them for riding.
I'd also recommend:
Any good lace-up boot, like my old Redwings or my Harleys. They’ve never had this problem.

0 padding in the shoe. The middle arch of the left was higher and dug into my arch , padded it myself and it was still uncomfortable. Not sure if this was a design defect or the shoe in general, but wearing it a full day walking and functioning was excruciating

I ordered this a month ago because my puppy chewed up my brothers. I didn't realize when I ordered them that my brother had a limited edition steel toed Durango Black Harness Boot. I ordered the same size as the boots he had, but when he received them, they were too small and had to be sent back. I have yet to be reimbursed for the boots and know they were sent back immediately.

I bought these boots to replace the same brand and style that I bought 15 years ago. Those had a solid leather sole and lasted. These are cheap crap. The sole is some rubber substance. The rings on the sides are already wearing the finish off to reveal they are plated copper. The heel is already showing serious wear, and I have only had them less than a year. The leather band across the back is loose, like the designer didn't realize that is supposed to fit above the heel. I am not at all satisfied.
