Excellent value in a dress shoe - This shoe can't be beat for value. The quality of this made-in-India all-leather shoe is as good as I've seen on shoes costing 3 times as much. I bought it for dancing and formal dress occasions for which it's perfect with its classic balmoral lacing, cap toe, subtle perforations and glossy black finish. The shoes required a little break-in initially, which I did mostly with full wood shoe trees, and then fit like a glove. They're very light and the full leather soles offer the perfect combination of slip-n-grip on the dance floor. They are very comfortable and offer good arch support.

Great Everyday Business Shoe - This is my third pair. Really enjoy the fit and comfort of this shoe.

Better than the more expensive brands - These shoes felt great right out of the box. The color is a very rich shade of brown and to my eye these shoes have a better proportioned look than some of the more expensive brands. I've worn them with a blue pin stripe suit and also a charcoal gray chalk stripe suit and they look great.

Just Right - Ok, this is how the Internet is supposed to work: I ordered these Friday at noon and got them by Monday at noon. The look just right, fit just right, and we're a breeze to pick out on the website. I have weird feet (long and narrow) and I could spend a whole weekend at shoestores and have nothing to show for it. I totally endorse these shoes and Zappos.

Dress Right Shoe - This shoe is of good quality. The look and style matches the other high dollar shoes. As with any shoe, after the break in this shoe is worth the money.

Ernie's New Bostonian Canton Shoes - Hi, I like the shoes very much, altho they’re a little tight now, because I have very bad feet. It is taking, and will, time for me to get completely comfortable with them. I will recommend this shoe. Sincerely, Ernie

Very Comfortable - Great shoe very comfortable and looks sharp with a suit. Only drawback is the fairly loud clack of the heel on hard surfaces but that may fade with use.

Good Look, Need to Break In - These shoes look awesome (great for weddings). I actually like the hard, smooth soles which are excellent for the dance floor. They are somewhat noisy (unless you like tap). I wore thick socks when I broke them in, and it's not exactly a soft comfortable shoe. The laces seem a bit thin. I'll see how they stand up and last to the hardwood floors over time.

Bostonian Canton - Great shoe for the price, however, for the first time ever, the shoe wore a blister on the heel of my left the first day I wore the shoe. I still have to wear a bandaid on my left heel to keep from obtaining another blister.

Solid, comfortable choice - Very nice shoe, well made and traditionally styled. Very comfortable as an all-day work shoe, although it was a bit uncomfortable in the heel for the first few wearings. Highly recommend this shoe.

The Bostonian Canton is a very attractive shoe. The width (B) felt true to size, but there felt like a little too much room in the heel when I first put them on. After spending all day in them for the first time, my feet did not ache at all! I've only had them for a few weeks so I cannot make any comment on their reliability, but I would likely buy this shoe again.

Good Shoe...Just not Brown - Recently picked up this shoe, and it's a sharp looking low profile dress shoe, with some wingtip features to make it a cap toe with understated flair...but, it is really burgundy. It can work as a brownish/burgundy with tan/biege/khaki hues, but it is not a good shoe to pick up as a brown shoe to be worn with any darker shade of brown, or as a go to brown shoe.

Low quality soles - The shoes look nice and are fairly comfortable, but they don't last. I bought them a few months ago and the soles and the heels are already worn out. I'll probably throw them away in a week.

Disappointed - I ordered these shoes for a new job to look dressier. While they look dressy, they're not very comfortable -- narrow and a higher heel than they should. Plus, they make a loud noise when you walk and sound more like women's shoes. My feet ache after wearing them all day and I'm not on my feet much -- I sit at a desk. They're also much more pointed at the end than I expected. I could not recommend these shoes.

Not the Bostonian I know - I have been wearing Bostonian shoes for over 20 years, guess I am old. So I knew what I wanted so I felt comfortable ordering over the web, after all I was replacing a pair of shoes I had worn the previous four years. Well this was not the case, the shoes are not what I remember as they are smaller, made of thinner material. Now I am stuck with a pair of shoes I cannot use. Never dong this again, sorry but be warned.
