Super stylish and pretty comfortable for a rain boot

Love the red! Wish it were matched with gray instead of brown, but they still look great. Fit well; in fact I rarely tie them, just use the zipper (I put ortho supports in, so that takes up some room). Not as comfortable as my Keen or Sketchers, but good for about 30 min walk, and great for puddles and slush.

I've been shopping duck boots and gave these a test drive. The rubber was shinier than I really wanted so I decided on another style after all. Great shoes, I just went a different way.

So cute! But a bit too large, foot slide around

These are my second pair of Sperry rain boots. I loved my first pair so much! They looked good, wore good, and protected my feet from getting wet in rain and snow, but I wore them so much that they started to come apart. I came here to get a replacement pair and was a little disappointed that my previous “functional” Sperry rain boots (simple straight laces and basic lace-up styling) had been replaced by “fashionable” Sperry rain boots (with twisties at the ends of the laces and side zippers.) I thought I’d give them a shot though since I’d had such a good relationship with my previous Sperry’s. I read the reviews before i bought these, so I was aware that some people said these boots are difficult to get on their feet. I want to say that I did not have a difficult time getting these new boots on my feet. They do have a side zipper, which basically makes the section with the laces non-functional (unless you want to undo the twisties at the ends of the laces that are so fashionable). So that does cause you to have to use two hands to pull these boots on. No big deal! If you are looking for fashionable rain boots, these are perfect in my opinion.

Too roomy

I purchased the blue and brown boots, and I really like the look of them. I think these boots are great for mucking around when needed for wet or muddy ground. They have no insulation, so would not in my opinion do well for very cold weather or snow, even with thick socks. They have no support whatsoever, so while I have seen reviews saying the user likes them for hiking, I couldn't imagine wearing them on rocky ground or where support is needed for climbing. The sizing is a bit large. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10 wide width, I purchased a 9.5 wide and they are a little big, but I decided to just keep them as is. For me the laces must be pulled tight and tied in a knot so they don't slide up and down, which is a bit disappointing because even with the zipper on the side, I still have to loosen the laces to take them off. I plan to use these boots when I might get muddy and dirty working outside when the ground is wet, and so far they have served that purpose well.

I did have quite a bit of difficulty ordering this item. On the first try, the box was labeled correctly but the shoes inside were 5 sizes smaller. On the second try, I got the right size but two left shoes. Zappos customer service was excellent and handled returns/replacement without fuss. On the third try, I got a matching pair in the size I ordered (US 12). I found them difficult to get on (even though I half-sized up) and I found myself wishing the zipper extended further or the laces didn't have stoppers that prevented them from being unlaced. Took some grunting effort to get on, but once they were on, the shoes were warm and comfortable.

Runs large.

I tried on the navy color at a local shoe store. The knotted laces hung down on each side about 2 inches, so I could easily loosen them and slip the boots on. I ordered the green color from Zappos, but they have much shorter laces that don't hang down at all. The knots are right next to the hole, so I can't loosen the laces at all making them extremely difficult to put on the first few times. With some wear, they've loosened up a little bit, but it still takes two hands and some tugging to get them on, and I have very narrow feet. Pay attention to the lace length in the product photos. The green and red appear to have shorter laces while the navy has considerably longer laces making them easier to get on.
