We are very pleased with this shoe! My son doesn't need braces, which is the main function of the issue. Rather, he has very long and wide feet with a narrow heel and a high arch. We normally have to buy shoes with shoe laces to accommodate his feet, but his school required Velcro. Finding Velcro shoes in size 3 is very difficult, so we decided to try these. We are very pleased! He will be able to zip the shoe from his toe upwards with no problem. The only thing that bothered our son was the "weird feeling" towards his toe. I think it was the feeling of the zipper. (My son is on the autism spectrum, so he has sensory needs.) If you have a kiddo who has ridiculously wide and tall feet, this is a great shoe to try out!

My kid's physical therapist recommended this shoe brand. My kid (4 y.o) and I love these shoes. He loves the zipper. The only downside of em is that I wish they had one or two specific shoes that had the sole a bit harder, so it doesn't bend so easily for the kids that TIPPY TOE walk. Other than that great quality.

Bought these for my Granddaughter. She has first pairs a few months ago but was already out grown. She will be learning how to walk in these new ones and they are really pretty. I will be visiting in 6 weeks and see how she is progressing and will update review then. She is very strong and these shoes will help her to improve her whole life.

These work beautifully with my son's SMO. He can put these on himself and has shown more interest in wearing his brace with them because they are comfortable and his feet aren't pinched. I love that we can order two differently sized shoes! One star removed because while we love our Billy's, we have had the zippers fail prematurely on multiple pairs. These are still the best shoes we've found that support our active, SMO-wearing toddler, but that darn zipper seems to be a fairly consistent flaw when a kid uses the shoes as much as ours does.

These shoes fit perfectly over my daughter's AFOs. She is currently a size 7 but I ordered a size 9 extra wide.

I really do love these shoes as my son wears AFOs and it is a good option. Some feedback to consider for why I gave this product a 3 is because there are some improvement that can be made. A lot of kids with medical conditions that affect their gait buy this product. With that in mind the rubber on the bottom of the shoe could be stronger material. My son will wear down the front due to his gait within a couple of months. Sometimes the zippers on the shoes will also fail before he has out grown the shoe do due rubbing from his gait. A material to give this product strength on the front of the shoe would help so much. Otherwise I love this shoe as it makes it easy to put on with his AFOs.

My daughter loves the design! I love the ease of putting them on. My issue is the sole is two pieces,so if your child has any drag of their feet the sole tears off.

They fit great but there no grip on the bottom at all

The first pair we had was great- this pair is already coming apart on the sole sent a picture of the shoe

The good: The extra wide shoe along with zipper allow for kids with orthotics to get a shoe that fits The bad: The sole comes apart within a couple weeks of use, requiring repair, sole replacement, or purchasing new shoes every couple weeks. This would be a solid 5 star of the soles were made to last as long as the rest of the shoe

I love everything about it but they are way too heavy for my son he's 4 years old and has low muscle tone so it's a bit difficult to get used to them other than that they are okay shoes!

It's been three weeks and these shoes have already started to fall apart. These shoes used to have high quality make, but it seems the quality of the material has gone down. The threads around the zipper come apart and the bottom of the shoe where the bottom rubber meets the white rubber is already coming apart at the front of the shoe. I am seriously considering changing where we get my son's shoes.

We absolutely love BILLY and have been buying shoes for a couple years now. That being said, the past two pairs have not lasted six months without the zipper breaking in the toe area. This pair we bought less than six months ago and they are already non the garbage. Toddlers are rough on their shoes. I wish they could reinforce the zipper a bit so we could get a little more use out of them.

I love Billy and the work they do but their shoes don't last long. The bottoms wear out so fast you'll probably have it for 3 months before needing to purchase again.

White sole separated from fabric upper after only 3 weeks of wear. In general, the zippers are of low quality. Stuck with purchasing these because they are the only ones that fit insert needed for shoe and child's sensory issues.

Have gotten 4 pairs of Billy shoes to fit my daughter's orthotic in over 2 years. They work great and look stylish but no pair lasts longer then few months. The zipper always comes off and the material scuffs off really easily.

We get Billy shoes all the time. These run at least a size bigger than all other billy shoes we've gotten in the past. Adorable but stuck w a pair that don't fit.

Very expensive took forever to ship and as you know kids feet grow fast these barely fit and zip up very disappointed in how lack of care and slow to get delivered they charge for shipping and the show but takes over one month to get here! Rip off! Can't believe it like the only choice for special needs people!

IF you can ever find the right fit, they are the best! My son has AFO's and it has been such a frustrating process finding ones that fit. I bought this pair because it was labeled the same way as the ones that work great for him. We were so disappointed when the toe area was much more narrow! Out of the 6 pairs we have bought now, only two worked for him. They were the exact same shoe in different sizes. I know they advertise them to work well with AFO's but for us it has been hard to find the right style. But the ones that do fit him are amazing and we are so thankful to have found something that works.

We bought these shoes for our toddler as he needs SMO braces. They give him great stability, but we are very disappointed that the shoes have already began to fall apart, only after about 2 weeks of wearing them. :( The zipper broke, holes near toes, etc.
