I love the style of boots and they are very comfortable for all day working. With a little leather protectant, my boots were also waterproof in no time! However the plastic toe tends to rip off easily and I had to return my original pair as within the month the toe was completely off and leaking when wet. The second pair has lasted 5months but again the plastic is cracking and peeling off. If that part was fixed, it would be a 10/10 for me!

I like the space it gives my feet, but it doesn't tightened enough in the ankle.

The reason I gave this score is because I love my fat babies. I have 2 pair. It takes a little bit of time to break them in, but once they are broken in; they fit like a glove. They are comfortable for long term wear, and worth every penny
My boots separated at the soles after 5 years of wearing them in mud, and water. The only complaint I have is they are not stitched at the soles, they are glued.

I had an Ariat hiking boot for many years. The style has been discontinued so I tried the Terrain. I love it for long distance pavement walking. It also works well on uneven ground. It is a bit larger than my previous boot but I know the smaller size will be too small and tight.

Love the boot. Second pair. I just wish I'd know the leopard print had the gold lame' look mixed in. Not a fan of that

I have had a couple pairs of Terrains. They are vey comfortable shoes needing little to no break-in! With a name like "Terrain", you would think they would have a more aggressive tread. These are great for hard surfaces but not so much for loose material trails or gravel. The laces for some reason never stay tied. I know, I know..just replace the laces. Other than that I really like them and would definitely get another pair!

Very comfortable out of the box- great for riding, but not so much for chores & saddling. I got stepped on my first day wearing them & I'm lucky it wasn't one of our draft horses. Great wiggle room in the toe box & very light. I would say they are a light cushion shoe, but as mentioned very comfortable with no break in time.

Watch out--they're huge. I had to order 1.5 sizes down. They are also wide so if you have narrow feet, I would not recommend them. If you get the right size, they are very comfortable, waterproof, and did great on extensive hikes!

Very nicely made. I have an older pair in the same style but wanted a darker brown. I ordered the same size as my others but these are a tighter. I am keeping them hoping they will stretch.

This is a very comfortable boot both for walking and riding. As other reviews stated, they do run big. I wear an 8.5 and was swimming in those-- sized down to an 8 and the fit is great with exception of the ankle area which still seems roomier than I'd prefer. However it allows flexibility in the stirrups when riding. The Breeze half chaps pair perfectly with this boot. I will be using this comfortable lightweight combo for an upcoming horseback Safari.

I ordered my usual shoe size and it fit as far as length (granted I think this style of boot is supposed to be a little long). However, if you think you might have wide feet or have flat feet, order the wide.

Love the look of these boots and overall am happy. The only thing I would change is how tight they are on the top of my feet. Maybe they just need more breaking into (I've had them for a few weeks now) but that's just me.

I think these boots are great. I got them as a goft for my dad's birthday because I know he's been eyeing them. Unfortunately, the Earth color that I purchased came and the top half is a muddy greenish shade of brown, rather than a nice lighter tan contrast as shown in the photo. I hope my dad still likes it, but I personally am really disappointed and if they were for me I'd be returning. :( Otherwise, seems like a great quality boot.

I love my boots, I have been using this specific boot for 10+ years; they brand for 20+ years. As time goes they seem to deteriorate faster. I am hard on them, generally wearing them daily. I do an extra treatment for waterproofing. Occasionally there is a hiccup Ariat generally is extremely supportive of their products. I have been wearing this boot about two weeks and the second metal eyelet came out. One of the things I really like about all of the like-kind Ariat Boots is the extra eyelet protection. They generally last a couple of years; with daily use as a construction project Manager, and also as a disaster inspector, my boots really take a beating. They fit extremely well with good support.

I love the design and color. Overall the fit is fine, though the instep is slightly narrower all around than other Ariat boots in the same size that I own, and the calf is pretty wide. Also, it has the traditional very stiff leather, and I would recommend some breaking-in.

These boots are beautiful and I love that I can dress them up or down at work. I have clear a metal detector and I love that they don't have a metal shank, and I don't need to remove my boots. The only thing with my specific pair it make a noise on my right foot. Almost feels like something isn't stuck right between the boot and the sole. But My other pair are just fine! Love them!

I love these boots! I have wide feet so I bought a 10 C. They are extremely comfortable and I didn't have any foot pain while breaking then in. This is my third pair of Fatbaby boots and when these wear out I'll buy another pair. It's so nice to be able to find quality boots that actually fit!

These boots were soft and comfortable the first time I put them on. The only issue I had was my right foot needed a half size bigger, because of a broken ankle years ago and could not get the 10 on. This is the only reason I did not give 5 stars.

Super comfortable!! I wear them with everything even just lounging around the house!! The color is darker than I wanted/expected and I thought about returning them but once I put them on I couldn't let them go!!

This is my second pair of Fatbabys, the first ones lasting almost 7 years of wear and tear until I finally wore a hole in the sole. I love these boots for the comfortability and ease of breaking them in, it didn't take hardly any time at all. They're perfect if you have wider feet because since they are round toes, they don't pinch at the top. The only issue I had with them is that they scuffed and faded quicker than my last ones did.. but otherwise they're great for every day wear around the house and the yard!

The Good, I really like the design, the stitching and the leather. These are really light boots not heavy at all. These are more like modern western boots it's like a fusion between western and biker/rockstar boots. They are square toe but with a thick snout it just makes it look a little different. The leather is thick and flexible on top, the outsole is some kind of semi rigid polymer. It is a very fashionable boot almost anybody can wear these and can be adapted to many types of outfit genre. You can wear these with a suit or just jeans and a t-shirt. I would not consider these work boots to me they are more of daily wear to office, light duty shop or just running around town. I would not use them as work boots I have been working out on the rough outdoors that requires to use steel toe and I have used many different brands and the abuse I give to them they only last around 6-8 months. There is only one old American brand boot that does give me at least 1 year of durability and that is what I have used for work for the last decade. I got this pair just as casual daily wear or to run around doing errands. I don't wear tennis shoes I wear boots 100% of the time. So this is the closest thing to me to a tennis shoe. These are made overseas, I love American made products but if a product is well made even if it is imported I don't mind spending the money on it. Now the Bad, the only issues I had with this pair, it is the instep it is narrow, I wear wide so to get my foot in the boot it is kind of a hassle but I manage. Because of my wide foot there is an overhang of the leather where the thickest part of my foot is (the ball) it becomes uncomfortable after a couple of minutes of wear. I am hoping with longer use the leather will break in and stretch naturally. I don't want to have to use the alcohol/water solution to stretch the fibers but if it's necessary I will do what I have to do. For now I am giving it time and use so they can mold to my foot. If the instep was a little wider and foot bed just a tad wider these would have been perfect. If these work out on the long run I will look into the work boot selection. I already wear Ariat FR shirts and pants so I might as well.
