These are comfortable right out of the box! I spend most of my day on my feet, and they were letting me know that I was not buying shoes that were up to the task. Recently it's led to knee and lower back pain, in addition to feet so sore by the end of the day that I can hardly walk. Knew I needed something more supportive, and insoles weren't cutting it. Decided to give Dansko a try, since I know so many people who swear by them. These feel different from any other shoes I've tried. The insole is firm with just the right amount of bounce to soften the blow of all those steps. The arch is PERFECT. If you've never tried these clogs before, the heel of the shoe doesn't actually hold onto your foot. Your heel should move freely without really touching the back of the shoe. Since the top of the toe box is what holds the shoe on, that's the only place you'll feel pressure with these. At the end of my first day in them, and that's the only area that I can feel any discomfort at all, and it feel like it will go away as I get used to them and they stretch out a little. So excited to get through a work day without all the pain!

I had my previous pair of Danskos for over ten years and I wore them out. They broke in half finally. I ordered size 39 and should have ordered size 38 as 39 was way too big, even with the arch support. Customer service was excellent and it was easy to exchange sizes. There is plenty of room in the toe box. I usually wear socks and there is enough room without feeling too constricted or tight. Love the brown tooled floral design, too. I'm happy and my feet are happy, too!

Finally Danskos come in wide! I’ve been wearing this brand for 12 hr nursing shifts for over 15 years. I always order a size larger to accommodate my wide feet-but decided to try these in my true size but wide. And they fit! Super comfy right out of the box. Love them!

Danskos are the best! I bought my first pair 17 years ago and they just gave out last month! This time around, I purchased a Professional in 'Cordovan Cabrio' (the same color I've had for 17 years), a Professional in 'Distressed Honey' and an XP 2.0 in Brown Pull Up. I must admit that the XP 2.0's are extremely comfortable...yes, even more comfortable than the Professionals. However, I am not in the health care profession, and alas, I must be a little more vain than I thought, because I just don't like the shape of the toe on the XP 2.0. The Professional has that perfectly round "snub-nosed" toe that is so cute with jeans and the XP 2.0 does not...it just looks a little more like an old lady shoe than the Professional. So, the XP's are going back. Don't get me wrong...if I was on my feet for 12 hours a day the XP 2.0's would be the way to go...no questions asked! But...Dansko, why do we have to sacrifice cuteness for comfort? Can't you make the XP 2.0's as cute as the Professionals? And, in case you're thinking of purchasing a Professional, they are plenty comfortable, so go for it! A note about size...the Cordovan Cabrio color in a 40 (the size I had for 17 years) is snug around the middle of my foot (where there's that little padded band). The Distressed Honey in a 40 is super loose and fits more like my old worn-in pair. I think I'm going to have to return the Cordovan Cabrios for a 41 and see if that helps. Like other reviewers have said, the sizing on these is all over the place! If the 41 does not work, I may keep the 40 and try to stretch that part out. It's so snug that it cuts my circulation off. The Distressed Honey pair does not do that at all, and there's a bit more room in the heel too...almost like it's a size 40.5 or a 41...hmmm...

Comfortable from day one. I used to wear a 39 but have recently gone to a 40 and I love tbisfit better. Always used to take some time to stretch out for comfort. The 40 is a better fit. Love the black patent.

So I bought this in my usual size (41 - I've been wearing these in 41 for YEARS), and they were very tight. I then ordered them in a 42 and they were huge. I've returned both of these and am going back to the Dansko Professional instead of the XP or XP 2.0. It should be noted that I have relatively wide feet (bunions), but have never had a problem with Dansko sizes before. If you have narrowish/normal width feet you're probably fine with these.

Honestly, the best shoes I've worn to work. I have a rigid very high arch, need a wider toe box with a narrower heel and wasn't sure about these when I ordered. Read the reviews, so was expecting the "slip" of the heels, but wasn't sure about the part of the shoe covering the instep. I wore these right out of the box, no need to "break" them in!! Thanks prior reviewers, I was able to get the perfect size.

Shoe Fits true to size, the new xp 2.0 are so much more comfortable than the professionals. Worth every penny.

Runs bigger than other Danskos. had to order 37 vs 38 which I have been wearing for 20+ yrs. Ow, love the new sole.

I purchased these clogs in the tooled brown color to wear with jeans and they bump up the look of my outfits to ‘lookin good!’. They are comfortable and didn’t need any breaking in. I like the no slip sole, it helps a lot when walking on ice covered surfaces. Another hit Dansko and Zappos!

I’ve been wearing the basic clogs for years now. I’m a teacher and I stand around ten hours a day. I decided to “upgrade” to the XP 2.0 for my birthday. They are amazing! Just having the insoles inside provides much needed padding but not too much. The toe box is roomy but not too much. The rocker action of the sole feels very natural.

My 16 year old Danskos just bit the dust, so I ordered these. Love them!! Lighter and the insole with arch is so comfortable.

Have been wearing Danskos for almost 10 years. These are the best yet!! Great arch support! No need to break them in!!

First time wearing the XP 2.0, and wow! I’ll always buy these going forward. Who knew Danskos could be even more comfortable?! Love!!

New to the XP 2.0, have been wearing the older version but the instep is snug. Went up one size and wear thick socks and had no problems from the start. Normally I’m a 6.5 wide, but I went to 7.5 reg and they’re wide enough for my wide foot. There’s a little bit of room in the heel but they stay on just fine. Happy with my purchase, this is the only style I can wear for mega walking or long periods on my feet.

At least for my difficult feet, I can't wear these right out of the box, only because I have two very different sized feet. I wear a size 38 so the bigger foot felt a bit more snug in the shoe especially at the instep, but if I would of chose a wide, then it would of definitely been sloppy on the smaller foot. That being said, wear them around the house if you have a foot like mine, invest in a shoe stretcher and some stretch spray that will touch up the areas that bother you. Width wise they feel the same as my professionals. Over all the comfort is much better than the professional type shoe, I have inflammatory arthritis and there is definitely the right amount of cushion for your joints. I need support but I also need cushioning. Also remember the insoles are removable so you can place in another insole of your preference. I do appreciate the much lighter weight shoe, but it is supportive at the same time. I do have a rigid hallux, so the sole works great for that but not heavy as to wear out the legs and low back. Give them a try. I would not say they are right for everyone, as there is no one shoe that is for everyone. I am always seeking the shoe that works, and so far this one does but I had to break them in to work for me but I am patient.

I usually wear a regular 39, but had to send it back because it was too narrow and tight across the top. I re-ordered a 39 wide and it fit perfectly. I would recommended ordering either 1 size up or going to wide width, especially if you have high arches. The regular width will be too tight across the top.

I wear between a 6.5 and 7 in most shoes, and the 37 fit perfectly. The 37’s in the originals XPs are slightly larger, and slightly large on me. These are lighter weight with the same excellent arch support as the original XPs.

These replaced my old patent leather Dansko's that I have had forever. I had worn the old ones out after years of wearing them many days a week. They feel amazing and I wanted to keep on walking! Love them!

Dansko XP 2.0 is next level! Years ago, I started wearing the Professional and graduated 2 yrs ago to XP for the additional cushioning. It’s hard to go back to Professional once you’ve experienced it. Then comes 2.0 and I’m in love with the interior comfort. It has the perfect amount of cushioning and even better arch support than previous models! If you have high arches or just crave more support, these are for you...all day straight out of the box, amazing! Note on sizing: Dansko can vary a bit between the 3 models and even between colors in the same model, but don’t let this discourage you. Zappos has the best, no-risk return/exchange policy. I’m a Dansko lifer and wholeheartedly recommend giving the XP 2.0 a try if you need comfort and durable shoes that will last you YEARS!

I am a nurse and have several pairs of Dansko's but I did not know a the new softer 2.0's until someone at work told me. I love them! Exact fit as regular dansko's. I want to buy several more pairs but have to wait a while for that.
