Only work shoe that he will wear. My husband has back problems and these seem to be the only shoe that he can wear. Not exactly the best-looking shoe but they are a solid, supportive shoe

Very comfortable shoe. I'm in need of a new pair of shoes. Not due to wearing out, but one of the fabric loops tore that holds the lace in place. I am very pleased to see that this exact shoe is still available for purchase!

Excellent shoe for wider feet. Only issue is that the laces fray very easily. Broke one after it frayed on the first wearing and broke on the 3rd wearing. Replaced laces and all is fine.

I bought these to replace a pair of New Balance walking shoes that I bought over ten years ago. As with the other pairs of New Balance shoes that I have owned, the fit is snug but never too tight (provided that you follow Beans' suggestion and buy a half-size larger than your usual size); the cushioning is generous with excellent arch support. One peculiarity: the tongues tend to slip to the side of my foot after I have walked for a while; this is not a problem since the laces hold them in place, but it is a bit odd (of course, it may be just my foot that's odd!).

This is not a running shoe. It is more stable because it doesn't have a lot of cushioned padding. There are times when you want these features. They're good for people with balance issues. I have wide feet and got size 10 EE.
