Customer Reviews New Balance 608v5 Slip Resistant

Ordered New Balance 9.5 EEEE. Shoes are closer to 9W. Box is marked 10W. Other shoes from Zappos have been fine.

Overall quality was poor. I returned them. The same quality shoe can be purchased at Walmart for like $25

Very disappointed in these V5 shoes. Not normal New Balance quality. Constructed with vinyl shiny finish upper which do not breathe like my previous purchased V3 and V4 shoes which have leather uppers. And they will not hold up as well. They will also scratch easier. They remind me more of shoes sold at Kmart or Walmart. Will not purchase more New Balance if this is their new normal.

Bought white/Team royal and this shoe was not true to size, It was not a 2e as marked and felt to be a half size short. (ordered a men's 7 and it felt like a 6.5. I compared it to the black pair I purchased in the same size and they were indeed narrower and shorter

I started out buying the 623 which were cheaply made and Junk. So I thought I would try the 608, same result. New Balance has lost it, shoes stink from all the cheap material they use. They resemble a shoe that you used to buy for 15.00 at a cheap shoe store. I will never buy another shoe from them. Thanks to Zappos for their great return policy and customer service.

this version of the 608 is an horrendous backward step for the 608. the absorb footbed is gone. replaced by a hard nylon footbed. the insole is not enough to replace the comfort. the 100% leather construction is now gone. replaced by fake leather. needless to say I will not be buying the v5 anytime soon. will have to find another type of NB shoe to go to. also the v4 was made on a sl-2 last that gave you extra depth in the toebox. the mx-oo1 last does not. it is a longer narrower last so don't expect it to have the toe room that the 608v4 did. all in all a botched job. I expected better from New Balance.
