I work for the US Post Office, these babies are the bomb. I have not experience any slipping or sliding on multiple surfaces, actually I did on a little ice. They're very comfortable once broken in which took a day wearing at work. I gave it 4 stars because I recently ordered 2 pairs and one of the two pairs is a size small, so sizing may be an issue.

I have worn New Balance for more then 20 years and most of those years wearing the 608. They feel good. I am a daily walker and these shoes work very well for me. I like the wider sole and feel more stability with these on.

I purchased the 608's to wear to my kid's sporting events during cold weather months. They are very comfortable and serve the purpose. I have other New Balance shoes for running and working out.

I recently bought two pair of these shoes and the fit is fine. I read a few reviews from people that had been wearing them for some time and there was mention of leather uppers being replaced by man made material. I can not say for sure but I believe that is the case so I am giving the overall of four stars. I also read the cushion support is not what it used to be and, again, that seems to be the case. I wear a 4E width so my choices are limited.

The "collar" of these shoes was too high around my ankles. After several steps around the house, it was clear that I'd have blisters. Otherwise, the toe box was comfortable and the heel fit well. I'm disappointed as I had hoped these would replace my very well worn LLBean walking shoes. They have to go back.

For this round of shoes I decided to try other brands. While I liked the look of other brands much better, the fit was never right. Finally went back to NB, and they fit like a glove. I just wish they were more sporty looking. For those who have had good luck with NB fit in the past, stop looking and go with these. Hope for style options next round

Not as comfortable as version 4 however, seems to have more padding in the footbed. Heal cup is a little large. I would buy them again. Great shoe for the price.

This is the third pair of New Balance walking shoes which I have bought. They provide excellent support and are very comfortable. I would have preferred to buy the shoes in an E width, but this was not available. I tried the EE width and found them too wide. The D width is a bit snug, but I wear them anyway. Otherwise, I have no complaints about these shoes. I recommend New Balance to anyone looking for walking/running/cross-training shoes.

As a volleyball official, I need a pair of all black shoes for high school and all white shoes for college. I bought two pairs of these and they work great! A little on the stiff side, but after working multiple tournaments, I am happy with this purchase.

Very good wearing shoe. A couple of years ago, I got a pair that didn't feel as though they had the support I was used to. I bought 2 pair this time, one for good and one for work. One of the pair again does not feel as supportive as the other, and my body feels it. I'm not sure what is going on, have they redesigned the shoe and it's not as expected, or did I just get a dud . . .

This is the 3rd. pair of these I have purchased, but something changed from the last pair. I have been wearing these for 3 months and am always uncomfortable with them. They seem too small and sometimes hurt my feet. Maybe the source changed from where they are made.

I have a D width women's feet. Lately having foot pain. I tried these shoes with a shoe insert and they are relieving the pain. Very happy and hard to get wide tennis shoes.

I wear a 4E and sometimes the shoes are not true to size in the width. These are so I bought another color. Very good value.
Only 4 stars because the leather is not as supple as other shoes I have received from NB.

I have a problem with the bottom of shoe. a shovel caught the underside where it came loose. I fell and sprained wrist because of that. I hope this pair doesn't come loose like the pair I will throw away.
