They are comfortable and do fit better than other Danner's I've tried. I have bad luck with Danner. It's either too loose in the heel, too narrow, or the length feels off. Every single human has a different foot shape, volume, angles, etc. It's very hard to accommodate everyone's preferences. Personally, these still feel slightly loose in heel, but it's extremely minimal. I have to lace it tight at the to alleviate this. Nice cushioning. At first, I thought the tongue wasn't gusseted, but there's this mesh elastic material stitched to the tongue that sort of "wraps" your foot and keeps the tongue from sliding down the sides. The style is a homerun in the green color. No idea how the outsole will perform. Some people may find the mid foot to be a hair tight with that mesh elastic wrap, and again some people just have a slightly wider mid foot. I wear size 11 or 10.5 depending on shoe. Ordered 10.5 and it's perfect other than the slight slip in the heel which goes away with thicker socks. I have low volume heels and ankles.

I love the five pairs of Danner shoes that I own. That includes the Sun Peak, but I do have one issue. Every time I put the shoes on, the tongue slides down into the shoes. Its not a big deal to pull it out, but I dont have this problem with any of my other Danners. It may be because the tongue of the Sun Peak is attached to the shoe differently than my other Danners.

The shoe felt tight, and the tongue was secured to the side of the shoe. At that point it rubbed on my foot. Within a short time it irritated my foot so I returned the shoes. I've had good luck with Danner shoes in the past, and will buy them again.

I do like them. For a 16 they are a touch on the small side but they fit and feel very well.

Danner nailed it with these. I had a pair of the Jag low shoes and I was bummed they stopped making them. These are worthy replacements. Soul has a lot of cushion while keeping a pretty low profile and they feel great.

These are a great fit, true to size. Sturdy and very lightweight shoes that will break in nicely!
