A Classic - Love the look of the shoes but they do get uncomfortable quite quickly. If you buy a pair, buy some athletic insoles! I've had my All-Stars for less than 6 months and the outersoles are already coming apart! Plus on style, negative for comfort and durability.

Shoe for teenage boy - Purchased these for my son when the solid black was sold out everywhere in his size. Usually wears a size 13, but this shoe does run a full size larger and size 12 wasn't available. So needless to say, his feet look like clown feet now! He does say there is no arch support which he does need, and he did admit that they look odd with certain clothes. Pretty much only wears them with his basketball shorts and t-shirt. But, overall he's happy he got the shoes.

Classic - It's been 20 years since I had a pair of these. I can't think why it took so long. I love them

Hi tops - When I ordered these and the low tos, I thought that they would be entirely different in color. But I couldn't make a decision between the two so, I kept both. The color scheme on website was misleading

Nike owned - This USED to be a great shoe. I used to wear these shoes all the time. But since Nike bought out the company, I noticed that there were some changes, most noticable was the quality. It sucks that Nike own these now. Since I used to like to wear converse because I didn't want to support Nike. But now that is not possible.

Desription doesn't fit - I purchased the black "monochrome" Converse Chuck Taylor hi-tops. I took monochrome to mean that they were all black. When they arrived, I found a large Converse logo in white on the heel that was wasn't in any of the pictures.

The classic converse look is here. As a clown I was looking for an eye catching shoe that would be big looking on my foot. This does the trick! I will have to wear an arch support as this shoe lacks the support that modern athletic shoes have. But I will be one sharp looking clown!

Chucks need more cushioning in the sole; as manufactured, they are a hard walking sneaker on concrete or asphalt or even on non-carpeted floors. The air holes make for cooler feet, however. And their lightness is a plus. Bolster the soles, and they would be much better.

Chucks are the least durable shoe I've ever worn; I've owned several pair - a new pair every year, and by that time you need them. Where the canvas joins the sole on the inside rips out very quickly. This is just from normal wear, not just taking them on and off. The front part of toe is glued on and doesn't take too long to start flapping off/tearing off. The part on the side surrounding the sole takes no time to start cracking at the front, where the front of your foot bends. Being constructed out of canvas, if starts to rain even a little, they get wet & stay that way. They take a long time to dry and don't think they'll dry up while you're wearing them either. They look great but are so poorly made - I recommend instead buying a more durable shoe, made out of leather or synthetics.

My New shoes! I love the look! I knew that the comfort of these shoes were poor, that no fault of Zappos. the back ankle support hurts my heel, but I was prepared for the pain! I love the shoes! I only wear them to my shows.

50 something...on my 5th pair My first pair of "CHUCKS" were in the early 60's Besides US Keds they were the only "SNEAKS" around...High tops, low cuts, black,white THAT'S IT!! It's great to have 'em back, in so many colors...Black,Navy, & Red are my choice! In a catolog...EastBay, they even have "Stars and Stripes!!! Canvas rules, no more leather for me!!

These were definitely fake converse. I've bought many pairs of converse over decades and these weren't real. They didn't come in a box and both the styling and the fit were slightly "off" in a number of ways.

You know, I really love converse and I do think I bought these a little too big. However, I’m convinced Converse only look good on short people with small feet. ? unfortunately that’s not me, so I think I’ll stick with my vans. I really tried to like them.

they didn't fit so returned them.....very easy to return to Zappos. Thanks for that. They were for my husband.

Even less comfortable than traditional chucks.

All was great except for the laces. They both broke upon first use! Had to replace, and hard to find the extra longs that fit...Thinking there has been a drop in quality of them.

I last bought a pair of Chuck's 5 years ago--black low tops, women's size 7.5M--and they fit fine, so after reading some reviews and learning that the sizing still runs big, ordered the new high tops a half-size smaller as well. Ouch! These are a full size too small, and way too narrow!! Thanks, but they're going back, and I'm going back to flip flops & Earth shoes while I rethink my "need" for Chuck's.

Kudos for style but horrifying for comfort. Got plantar fasciitis so bad within lass than a week from just wearing them for an office job that I literally limped for a week.

I liked the style of shoe but the fit was a a whole size to big! I decided to go with a completely different shoe after ordering two of these pairs! Perhaps they will work for someone else!! Just not for me!

These classic red converse were purchased for a Fourth of July outfit, they looked great, but I regretted this purchase within 1 hour of standing around in them.
