Converse All Star Chuck Taylor high top - I bought the all black high top Chuck Taylor All-Star's, for the look alone. Everything is black, Canvas, rubber soles, laces, etc. The shoes could not look better. However, the overall comfort is subpar. The hurt the soles of my feet after only limited wear, and this is just from walking. They provide NO ankle support, so I would never dream of playing any sports in them. But, I bought these as my everyday other day or so chillin shoes. They look cool and I get numerous compliments on them. To recommend an alternative, I would suggest any of the styles similar to this shoe made by Ed Hardy. They cost more, but have cool designs on them & provide better foot support & comfort.

Chucks - The shoes are what I expected though the material seems thinner than what I remember.

True American Classics - What can I say? You can't go wrong with these classics. Zappos Customer Service is great, I ordered them on Wednesday Morning and they came Thursday around 2pm. I got them just in time for the Ozzy Osbourne/Rob Zombie Concert I went to that very same night. I needed a new pair of Chucks for the outfit I was wearing. You can't go wrong with Zappos. If you never had a pair of Chucks, GET ‘EM! They are awesome! P.S. don't forget to order a half size smaller. Example: if you are a size 10, order a size 9.5 Chucks. Chucks always run a half of size bigger!

Blue Converse Chuck Taylor Hi Tops - A classic shoe that looks great and feels great! It's not a fancy padded leather sneaker, but it's very practical and classic.

The good and the not so good - Honestly, I got these shoes to dress like Doctor Who. But they are pretty comfortable, and they look cute on my tiny feet. They lack the arch support I need though. So I cannot wear these to work, I work retail, and stand in them for 8 hours a day. I wear them out to museums and other events.

Classic - A bit wider than expected. Tightening laces a bit too much makes them pucker on top. Minor issue. I love these shoes. Pleasantly surprised by arch support. Price was lower than in store w/free overnight shipping.

Kids love the shoes! These shoes are fun for the kids, great day to day shoes, not lots of support or things mom's look for, that's okay. Some things just need to be fun.

My husband loves them - I originally got a pair for our 2 year old son. My husband ended up wanting a pair, too. He wears them all the time. Only problem is little to no arch support. Seems like they could keep the original design, but have an updated interior to be more comfortable.

Great Shoes, But No Arch Support. Really. I have owned and worn many pairs over many years. Despite the claims of some other reviews, THESE SHOES HAVE NO ARCH SUPPORT. I buy insoles with arch supports to put in them, and you should plan on doing the same if you need it. You cannot find a shoe that is flatter on the inside. Just so you know. Cheers.

Chucks - What's left to be said about the classic? They look like they look and they feel like they feel. These are certainly not a shoe bought for comfort. They are narrow with virtually no support whatsoever. But they're classics and I'm willing to deal with those things...they offer this (and only this) shoe its charm.

Hip Shoes - These shoes are hip and fun given all of the different colors and designs. They are not as comfortable as a traditional tennis shoe since they are canvas without the typical tennis shoe support, but they are a great everyday hip shoe. I just returned from Paris where everyone was wearing them so had to order them for my entire family when I returned and we are all enjoying making our own statement in them.

If this is your style... I had to order these shoes in Pink for a costume for local theater. They are good quality and look just as they should, but are very uncomfortable if you are not used to these shoes. Very flat, with no arch support whatsoever. They will do just fine for the purpose, but will I wear them just for fun, probably not. Had to return the first pair. They were definitely on the larger size.

Stylish shoes that are good for going out. I bought the all black Converse to go with some outfits to go out in. I don't wear them all that much which is probably why they don't feel uncomfortable to me. My only issue with them is that they feel a lot larger than I expected. So order 1 size down from the size that you normally wear. Also, be aware that the shell on the toe can get scuffed from time to time.

Not Bad... Pretty no-frills, simple design, comfortable enough for me. At one point, I think people thought I was wearing a pair of dress socks and nothing else, but what are ya gonna do.

Looks great, foot aches - I really like the pair of Converses I have as far as looks go, but I walk around a lot everyday, on roads and in woods, and they’re not the best choice for that. There is no arch support on these Converses; completely flat. As you might imagine, when running they make a loud flopping sound so it’s hard to jog quietly. When you jump down from something, it really hurts your feet too. I love how these look and wear them when dressing up or something, but wouldn't walk more than a mile per day in them unless you like sharp pains in your feet.

The all time classic - I love that these shoes have not changed a stitch since as long as I remember. Get New Balances for comfort, wear these for style.

Old School Cool - Good old Chuck Taylors can't be beat. I chose pink to match my 18-month-old daughter's shoes, which I was jealous of. They aren't the most comfortable shoes, but they are sure cool. Go with a size or a size and a half smaller than you think, but the women's sizes are pretty accurate. Get 'em, you know you want 'em!

Red Converse All Star Core HI - Good quality, good fit, and fast/free shipping. I have searched all of the malls to find some new red high top Chucks with no luck but they were only a click away at Zappos. Thanks for the convenience!

Classic Look - Flat Foot Street Wear - I have had numerous pairs of these since I was a wee man and I love the feel. If you are used to inserts and 'gellin' this may not be for you, but hey they look great with everything!

A Classic Best-Seller! Converse has never failed to put a smile to anyone's face. It's such a classic that it goes well with anything. Beyond the perfection of its look, I still wouldn't recommend walking with it for hours. But still it wouldn't last this long for nothing.

Best Friend’s Christmas Shoe Exchange - My daughter bought the blue ones for her best friend, and her best friend bought her the red ones. They are both very happy about their shoes. The only negative is all the lacing! We always like buying from Zappos. And also you are one of the only places to find my older sons size 16 Wide. Thanks.

I bought these shoes for my boyfriend as a birthday present and customer service was so awesome that they helped upgrade my shipping to two-days without any extra cost just so the shoes could make it to him in time! I got the red ones for him, and they turned out a lot brighter than I expected, so if you're not into standing out, stick with a more traditional color. Also, it's true that the men’s sizes are a half-size larger than normal, so choose 0.5 size smaller than usual when buying for guys.

Chucks review - My son loves the look of these high tops, but we can't get a size 15 in our town. Zappos offer great range of sizes. Converse All Stars remain the breathable, comfortable, flexible canvas basketball shoes that everyone loved when I was a kid.

Retro active - The shoe is just as I remembered it from long ago. While not extremely comfortable for long journeys, no support and very flat, I still can stand in it for 8 hours!

Great classic with comfort - I’ve been wearing these shoes for nearly 20 years now. I buy a pair, they last for a couple of years, and then I buy another. I like the ankle support and the coolness of the canvas and vent holes. My only suggestion is to buy a pair of arch supports or some other cushioned insole for them. Without them, these shoes can hurt to be on your feet all day.
