These kicks look cool (in a retro way) but i wear them for one reason only: they're compatible with my custom-made orthotics. The flat-as-a-board insoles make the perfect base for them. Minus the orthotics, i wouldn't last 15 minutes in these..virtually no arch support. I got them a half-size larger than normal, which seems about perfect.

I bought these shoes for my daughter to replace her previous pair. Her old ones (exact same) lasted several months August to March, she wore them out before outgrowing them and I expected the same for these. We've had them just over a month, and while there is definite wear on the bottom, the heel itself is now coming apart from the shoe. This is a manufacturer defect, not a wear and tear defect. I will not be buying Converse again.

I have been wearing Chuck Taylors for many years. When the bottoms wore through, usually about one or two summers, they went to the dump and I got some new. Lately (last two pairs) the glue gives out and the sole separates from the body of the shoe. Is this the difference between the differently priced units? I like the look. Are the more expensive units better constructed and will they last longer - as in the old days when the sole wore through before they fell apart?

Exactly as expected. Seriously true to size. My foot is wide so I usually have to go at least a half size up. You don't have to. These are still true old skool so the support is the same, which is pretty non-existent. They are a bit bolder than the picture, but we bought them for a breast cancer support event and they are perfect (NOT to walk in). Super funky too! Keeping them!

This pair of Converse have great style. However, if my teen walks on them all day long they do not offer as much support and bother on the ankle area because of the high boogie style and offer no arch support.

My daughter loves these shoes! They are not the most supportive, but she wears arch supports and says they are comfortable.

Really like the shoes -- good cusion but no arch support so will use an insole. Zappos has great customer service, love them!

Most reviews said these ran half a size small. I ordered a 6½ factoring this in, and they are perfect without socks. I recommend ordering your true size if you plan on wearing them with socks.

This is my first pair of Chucks (ever!). They aren't uncomfortable but aren't comfortable in any special way, either. They took a little getting used to compared to what I usually wear (which for sneakers tends to have more structure than the mere canvas of these). The styling, though, is a classic as it gets, and for me that's to the extreme when they are pink.

I first wore 'Chuck Taylor' converse back in the '60s, they were $7.99 and I loved the black high-tops. I currently have a Red pair, a Kelly Green pair and one pair of all black high-tops. I need another pair of the 'Chuck Taylor' black high-tops and the Red also, their falling apart, but so comfortable.

I love these shoes as a canvas for digital art, to help raise funds for Rescues and Shelters. A boatload of hand work but these shoes are the perfect backdrop! Zappos, as always, has provided excellent delivery and Customer Service & Support.

This is a stylish throwback classic, however, I wouldn't depend on them for 8 hours per day of wear. They are simply not as comfortable as today's athletic footwear. Great for short-term wear.

My daughter loves these shoes. Since it's a unisex shoe, it runs wide which accommodates her wide feet well. Minimal arch support. A bit pricey.

The size chart and the size indicated on the shoe don t match. A 25 cm shoe according to the size chart should be 9 US and 39 EU, so I ordered it, it arrived and the shoe label said 40 EU, 25.5 cm and 9US.

My 15 year old daughter loves this style. It is about the look more than anything. Comfy for running around a little bit, but not too long. Would be so great if they had more cushioning in inside of the shoe and some arch support!

Surprisingly comfortable with my flat feet (as long as I am not standing or walking around too much). Style is classic. Pretty happy with purchase.

Super cute retro color combo, can't beat the look. It ran much bigger than the low tops I bought in the same size. I would have returned them and sized down but I slipped a pair of Dr Scholls inserts in there since there was so much extra room. Good move - now I have arch support where there was none before. I'd recommend doing just that to anyone who loves Chuck's but needs more support.

I am from Germany and stayed with friends in the US, who recommended 'Zappos' to buy Converse Sneakers. I tried and was absolutely satisfied. Delivery time 5 days - both pairs I ordered, fit. Unfortunately I can't buy at 'Zappos' in Germany.

These Hi-tops remind me of being a child in the 80s. My husband and I got matching pairs. They are wonderful - besides being comfortable, they support your ankles and feet well.

These shoes are a full size big - I'm normally a 9 and ordered an 8! They do take some breaking in. I blister easily on my heels and got some pretty nasty ones the first few times I wore them. But once they start to soften up, they're very comfortable! Super stylish and easy to wear with just about anything.

I got a pair of pink men's size 8 Chuck Taylor Hi-Tops on a dare eight years ago. They were the only pair of shoes I took with me the last two times I was homeless. "Civilian Gary" and I had a big discussion at the Balsam Lake homeless shelter four years ago about how Chuck Taylors are by far THE most comfortable shoes, hands down. I got a pair in brown since then, but now I'm going to get the classic black and white. I prefer the Hi-Top version, because it's so kind to my Achilles' heel.

I love these shoes. I originally ordered a half size smaller than I normally order based on the reviews. I ended up returning those and getting them in my regular size and they fit fine.

Way too big. It says women's size is a true fit but it is not. I say go down at least 1 size especially if your feet are narrow.
