I’ve previously worn the Saucony Omni walking shoe but since that was discontinued the Guide is the new option. I was happy to see that the toe box was a bit wider-more rounded than the “pointed” Omni. The shoe is very “cushy” and comfortable but I’m going to have to return them as they don’t feel very “stable”. After wearing them around the house, I’m not sure they’d be reliable on uneven pavement due to the deep, soft sole. For example when I crouched down to scratch the cat I almost tipped over backwards. While I’m having trouble articulating the feeling of wearing them, there’s just something odd about the heel of the sole that makes me feel unstable- maybe like walking on marshmallows

I get my running shoes from Sauconey so I turned to them for a supportive walking shoe that I will be wearing to travel, three months after foot surgery. The website was helpful in suggesting shoes that would work in my situation. Still have a cast on one foot but the other foot feels great in the Metro. No breaking in needed. Supportive and looks great in Black leather.
