I read reviews about the Nimbus 27 and decided I didn't want to spend that much money for workout shoes this time around. These shoes don't have as much cushioning as the GEL-Nimbus 26 but this is still a great shoe! I run two times a week (on a treadmill) and take cardio classes and these shoes provide great support. I bought them in three colors to keep me going for a while.

I ordered a 10 medium width pair of ASICS Gel-Excite 11 running shoes. They are extremely cushy - even more so than my Hokas. The toebox is wide and roomy, too. They're very comfortable shoes, but I ultimately returned them because the soles are SO SQUEAKY on the floor!!! This may be a flaw with ASICS in general, as I ordered a different style in their line and they squeaked, too.

Pretty comfortable with someone who has neuropathy but support wasn't that good. Went off balance when standing up. Also felt a bit smaller as my ankle started developing a blister on day 1.
I'd also recommend:
Use to be Brooks. They seem to be too heavy now.

I have bought probably 30 pairs of Asics in the same 7.5 size over the last 20 years, and every once in awhile I get one that is too short in the toes. My toes hit the front of the shoe in this style, and I am not sure why. They were comfortable in terms of support, but I would recommend ordering a 1/2 size larger in this particular style.

I typically wear Gel Cumulus and love them! I wanted to try a new sneaker and the Gel-Excite 11 had awesome reviews so I purchased it. I wear 8.5 in the Gel Cumulus and ordered the same size in the Excite. it was too big! But I could tell it was extremely comfortable. My advice might be to size down but other than that , its a great sneaker!

The toebox is vertically narrow and rubs on my toenails. I even went up a half size and while it helped, it didn't resolve the issue. The toebox also narrows in a strange way on the medial side so it also just barely rubs there too. I'm desperate for a wide women's neutral shoe with an 8-10mm drop so I kept them, but they don't fit as intended.
