I was utterly disgusted and disappointed when I opened the package. These were a gift for my husband, and it’s a good thing I opened the package before even thinking about gifting them, as what was in the package were used, worn, and filthy running shoes.

Excellent running shoe for anyone who prefers less cushion. As someone whos fairly tall, I dont like feeling too high off the ground, which is how the GT-2000 tends to feel for me. The GT-1000 hits the sweet spot it has just enough cushioning to stay comfortable while still keeping you low to the ground, so you feel stable and connected rather than like youre floating.

Amazing fit and amazing shoes! I have had several pair over the years, cant get enough.

I wear the GTs as everyday shoes but not for workouts as I have other shoes (ASICS) specifically for that purpose. I find them very comfortable and was pleased with the color. Fit was good and similar to other ASICS I wear. Cant speak to the durability as I have not had them long enough.

I love the arch support and the way my Asia's hold my foot all day - and I'm on my feet all day at work.I highly recommend!

Have used GT 1000 shoes for many years. Fit has always been great.

The shoe fits and feels great but the little loop on the back was barely sewn in and pulled out of the shoe on the second day I wore them.

I've run exclusively in every iteration of this shoe since it's introduction as the Excalibur GT in 1984 (Onitsuka Tiger). The fot and performace has alwsys been ex ellwnt, the last virtually unchanged over the years.This shoe is different. Heel width and height is wider, and the shoe is generally wider. The cushion has become softer. All leading to a change in feel. That being said, I'm still extremely pleased overall. And this is just my observation, we are all the "Experiment of One". Finally, thanks Asics for bringing back some COLOR...FLASH RED!

I bought this for my son who is a medium to long distance runner. He is affected by pronation issues and he reports that it assists with that and because it has no spring it is good to train with because it will make him stronger
