Did not fit. Right shoe had problems with insert. There was a poor fit, like a ridge across the ball of your foot inside the right shoe. Shoes were replaced but second pair had similar problem with right shoe. Seems like there was an issue with the way the insert was glued in the right shoe. Left shoe was OK for both sets of shoes. These were Black size 11 medium width. May not be an issue with other sizes or colors.

ZERO stars, I would not recommend these. No matter how well they fit, the squeaky noise they make with every footstep is not worth it. There is something wrong inside these sneakers, and no, you cannot remove the padding / footbed inside because of the way it is glued in. I am actually GLAD that sneaker soles only last about 6 months because these Nike Air Monarch IV are simply garbage. Do not buy these unless you do not mind squeaky steps no matter where you walk, no matter what the surface.

Broke the first time my son tried to lace them up. Two pairs now with defects Not a happy customer.

Just not my style of shoe it would be ok as a work shoe in all black but not a very stylish shoe in my opinion

Fine if only the footbed was cushioned

The air cushion leaks causing a squeaking sound.

This shoes exactly good, but Zappos send me the 4E Extra Wide model , no D Medium :( so it fits bad because of width

Toe box was WAY too narrow for my wide feet, but this is the case with every shoe I have ever worn besides Crocs. Also way too much padding on the heel, making ergonomic gait basically impossible.

I've owned at least ten pairs of this exact shoe over the years. It's the shoe I work in. It's squeaky, but really comfortable. That said, I returned this pair and will never buy another pair of Nike shoes again. If they choose to applaud someone like Colin Kaepernick, then I choose to spend my money on another company's products. Zappos handled the return perfectly and I'll be buying something else from Zappos to replace these.

This was to be my second pair of Nike Air Monarch IV. I came across the first pair several years ago and, after learning how to get rid of the infamous squeak (baby powder under the insole), they were the most comfortable shoes I ever had. I wore them whenever I could. They were my automatic choice for trips. Being black leather, I could almost get away with them when 'dressing up'. I finally wore the soles down and I was eager to get a brand new pair. I'm sorry (really sorry) to report that these are not the Nike Air Monarchs I previously had. They seemed a little 'stiffer' when I put them through the indoor on-the-carpet test period but I could not wait to get out there with my new favorite shoes. In print, on the box and inside the shoe, these are the exact same size (12 4E) as the old ones but that's where the similarity ends. They never 'relaxed' to a comfortable shape and remain smaller and tighter than their predecessors. They gave me corns. They restrict my feet until, by day's end, I can't stand having them on. The original pair are so far back in my order history that I'm not going to try to compare SKU numbers, but these are either a different batch that are cut differently or they are a smaller size that is mislabeled. Like I said, I've tried them outside too much now so I guess I'm stuck with them.

I've had 4 pair of them. I would love the shoe, Except after a while, they all start squeaking loudly when you walk. It blows my mind that they haven't fixed this problem since most folks have experienced it and it's widely known. Too noticeable to keep wearing them.

They do not fit very well , i hate them

I have worn the white/blue version of this shoe for years. Decided to try this color. Don't know if it is this one shoe or a design problem but there is a large seam (or something) in the ankle area. After 5 minutes of wearing them, my ankle started hurting in that specific spot. Might try another pair to see or go back to old Faithful.

Don't be fooled by the picture or name like I was. These shoes are heavy, stiff, clunky and uncomfortable. No way these are running shoes. I tried them for 2 days and hated them. I was going to return them but according to the return policy I couldn't because I wore them. Don't waste your money on these shoes. If I wear them at all it will be to work in the yard

What Happened? I have been ordering the Nike Air Monarch's for years with great results but now these shoes feel flimsy and thin. Are they making then thinner to save money? The bottom of my feet are bruised, my ankles hurt, and my knees hurt.

If you like loud, squeaky shoes, your going to love these babies! Great fit, decent price, but NEVER AGAIN, Nike! Are you listening? No, I didn't think so, since you never bothered to reply to my emails. Tried the fixes offered online, no good. Oh well, looking elsewhere for better qualiity. Surprised at Zappos, after all of the complaints, probably going to lose this customer too.

My boyfriend loved these shoes for working. Even though he said they felt a bit snug, he loved that his feet felt good after a day on his feet. Within a month, the toe portion had blown out of both shoes. Not from "wear", from faulty craftsmanship. It was the part on the top where the stitching goes into the sides of the shoes. Now he just uses them for yard work since they look like crap. Glad I didn't pay $100 for these shoes or I'd be really upset!

Very nice looking sneakers. Unfortunately, they are just more chinese garbage. Insole in right sneaker glued in off-center and hurts my heel after walking a while. Shoes have no ventilation at all and cook my feet after walking for 45 minutes or so.

I have been buying air monarch for years and have been satisfied. The last pair of black shoes have really disappointed me. I bought them in June of 16 and the completely broke down on the front of the shoe, big creases that rubbed on the big toe & formed a lump at the ball of the foot. I believe they have really cheapened this shoe from China. I will never buy another pair. I wish I could send you a picture of this shoe after wearing them...

These squeak with every step. See videos on how to fix this model on YouTube. Just ridiculous that Nike has not discontinued this shoe. I have returned two pairs and have given up. I know it sounds crazy but this shoe makes so much noise with every step, it has become infamous. Not a joke!

These are not very comfortable. There was a long break in. I had to send the first pair back because they started squeaking after about two weeks of wear.

These shoes squeak while walking right out of the box! Not a good thing. I have owned other pairs of the same shoes and those did not squeak until years later!

I bought Monarch for years and years because they were consistently comfortable and durable. They've changed. They start squeaking after a period of time and the sole doesn't have the air cushion it was famous for. It's not the same shoe. Nike isn't a quality brand anymore, so I'm moving on.
