I have back problems and the Nike Monarch is the ONLY shoe that my body will tolerate. ONLY shoe, meaning I wear them all the time. If I have to dress up then so be it but ASAP I'm back into the Monarchs! After a couple of months I'll slip in my insert and get a couple more months use by which time I've put them through the wringer so new ones are in order. Zappo's has great prices and free shipping so Zappo's and Monarchs are a win/win combination for me.

Have bought this shoe before at a "brick" store for a higher price, so just purchased as it was more reasonable on this site. Love this shoe!!!

Wide shoes is one the best things to happen to me. In high school I was a basketball player and I always felt slow and had terrible shin splints. I also had really bad tendonitis in my feet. When I was 21 I was in the military and the store on the military base sold wide shoes. I figured I'd give it go since my shoes always felt like they never fit and my feet measured average width. So I tried the wide shoes and I could run forever. I was a lot quicker and had no pain when I played basketball. If I had a time machine the only thing I'd do is tell my younger self to wear the Nike Air Monarchs as a kid with a 4E width. I really missed out. And the squeaking noise everyone is commenting about, I experienced that too. If you never loosen or tighten the shoes they start to squeak. If you keep your shoes tied all the time at the factory setting they squeak, simple as that.

Great sneaker. I use them for tennis and they have great support.

These are a favorite of my 16-year-old son. He has triple E width, so finding a pair of shoes that fits and is stylish is important. He even wore the red, white and black pair to prom!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these shoes! My husband only wears Nike Air Monarch and I never liked the plain black or white ones. Then I came across this "stylish" design and had to order it. Now, both my husband and I are happy with the fit, comfort, and style and color. Please Nike, come out with more stylish colors for the Nike Air Monarch.

I buy these shoes for my dad twice a year. He loves them... he won't buy any other sneakers

Most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned!

These are the most comfortable shoes/sneakers ever! Honestly, every time I buy a new pair, and put them on for the first time, it is as comfortable as the last pair I wore for 6 months. Occasionally, I do get a pair that "squeaks" when you walk, but there is no consistency; one pair it may happen with, and the next not. Overall, though, I will not wear another brand/make ever, unless they discontinue them.

My husband had the blue monarchs before but didn't know they had different colors. Bought 2 pairs of different colors for him and he loves them. Hope they don't stop making them especially with having him wide feet.

These are the only tennis shoes that I wear. I think I have owned over 6 pairs and have a pair on the side so that when they current ones wear out I have another pair to fall back on. I have had some that squeak but most recently they have not. and I see some men with them on and hear the squeak and just start to laugh at myself. as I know that they are going thru. I will only wear these shoes thanks zappos and nike too !!

I have dealing with foot pain related to flat foot since last 6 years. These shoes combine switch "sole" brand insoles (make sure you remove the default soles the shoes come with) has helped me get rid of my pain in the foot and bring out the mich need arch. Now I go running and biking without any discomfort.

I have owned at least 10 pairs of this shoe. The wide wide is key for me which makes these quite comfortable.

Purchased these shoes for my father as a birthday gift. He's usually worn New Balance, but has told me now that he loves this new pair more! I know the Air Monarch give great support which he needed and it was awesome to see they actually had some color flare! I didnt want to purchase the generic 'old man' all white or black orthodic looking shoe. Im impressed and so glad I made this purchase for my father. Thanks Zappos!!

Fits perfectly as ordered, comfortable, and now I have a springy step!

I bought these for my husband and this is his third time around with these sneakers. As in a previous review, they are multifunctional. While they are new and respectable, he'll wear them for work. Then he'll use them for weekends. Then, they'll become his workout sneakers. And yes, we'll probably buy them again!

Husband is a police officer; ordered these Nike shoes purely for the comfort since he is on his feet, a lot. They are not stylish but certainly not ugly. Good shoe, they look and feel (according to my husband) durable and of good quality. He likes them.

The Nike Air Monarch IV provides a great solution for a most comfortable sport shoe that I can wear with multiple outfits, sport or casual. So far, it provides a support unlike any of the other sport shoes that I have ever owned. The contemporary colours and style were also a determining factor to order this shoe. Not disappointed in anyway. Many other shoes I use at the gym do not have the front toe support in the front for doing planks.
