Although the Velcro is adjustable I am unable to feel they are stable across the front toe area. When moving the strap over it looks weird. I do have trouble with sandals being to wide across the center of my foot.

I really wish this was offered in black suede. I wear a size 6 and my feet are wide, but the shoes are very comfortable right out of the box and I did not find the toe box too narrow as some other reviewers have noted. I am returning them only because I wanted a pair of black shoes (and cannot justify the extra expense of keeping this pair) and so the search continues. But I love everything else about the Born Sloan.

They fit great! I purchased a tan pair last summer. Decided to get the black ones as well.

I have a lot of trouble with my feet. I'm 69, and finding something cute and comfortable for my age is nearly impossible. These shoes are amazing. I reluctantly wore them on a trip, walking through airports, etc., and I was very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they are and I got compliments on them...an added bonus. I got the blue and they go perfect with so many things. They're not a bright blue at all. Great sandals, and I'm hoping to get other colors.

These are stylish and comfortable right out of box. They could be called plain, but truly they are classic. They are great with trousers, and cute with textured stockings and a skirt! This is my second Pair of Born Oxfords.

Praise the lord! I finally found a pair of shoes that feel great on my feet. I am not joking that I have ordered 15 different shoes from Zappos and sent all of them back. I have skinny feet, bad Achilles, bad ankles, etc. It's such a drag. BUT, these are the cutest and most comfy shoes I have had in years. I AM THRILLLED. I have a narrow foot and they fit great, so I think they might not work for wide feet.

I like a comfortable black oxford, mainly for work. This is not the prettiest of them, but it's the most comfortable by far that I have found, including arch support. Comfortable right out of the box.

Born's oxfords are not our grandmothers' oxfords. This, like another I have, has all Born's style and not one disadvantage. Even in my size eleven, they manage to look sleek; support is everywhere it should be, and the gray, especially, is a lovely hue. I'd buy it again in a second. It well deserved 5 stars, but a glitch in your site prevents my giving them (please check)!

I love these shoes!! They were comfortable right out of the box. I have problems with plantar fasciitis and this shoe has the perfect height. I also have a high arch with pronation, and this shoe really provided great support. Plus, the suede is so pretty!

I generally love Born shoes. These oxfords are very cute and comfortable. Well made. Nice heel height. Good traction. Good support. True to Born sizing. With some brands I am a size 8, but with Born I'm a 8.5. Wish they came in more colors.

It is designed for a higher-volume foot. The straps are not adjustable by more than 1/16th of an inch.

As always, Born comes through with a comfortable shoe that gets me through a long day on my feet. The toe box is a bit too rounded, but I like the heel height and the shoe is comfortable out of the box, well padded, and with much-appreciated arch support.

The overall look of this shoe was just as expected. The grey suede is a nice twist on the standard oxford and it had great arch support. Unfortunately, like one of the other reviewers, I found the toe box to be quite narrow and I kept stepping out of the heel in my regular size (even with thick socks). I contemplated going down a half size, but I think that would make the shoe too tight in the front. Overall, I think it's a good shoe (especially if you have narrow feet) but it wasn't quite right for me.

I love Born shoes and usually find that they are good right out of the box. These are beautiful to look at and to hold, and a perfect style for a dress shoe I can wear socks with. My favorite thing about Born shoes is that they fit real feet instead of squishing my toes into a shoe-shape. Unfortunately, the fit of this shoe is more like other brands. The toe-box is a full half-size smaller than other Born shoes in this size. My toes all felt cramped, they way they do in most dress shoes. Also, the heel was too wide, so my ankle slipped out when I took a step, chafing with each stride, so I don't think going up half a size would fix the problem. The leather is wonderfully soft, and the heel height is perfect, but these shoes just don't fit.

I was really hoping this sandal would fit comfortably and they did, except for the buckle over the toe strap! It would dig into my toe. I tried loosing the strap but it didn’t help. I was hoping these work out since it had Velcro straps to adjust fit but I had to return.

I was very disappointed in these shoes. First, the straps feel and look plastic-y, and the back strap is NOT adjustable. I had to move my foot to an unnatural position to fit into that strap so it didn't look like it was just flapping around back there. The strap over the vamp is ONLY adjustable to be looser, not tighter. The strap is doubly thick below where it folds over, so you can't really pull it tighter. There's not much (if any) cushioning, and feels like no arch support for a high arch. Not cute, either.

I thought the look was fine, but you can barely adjust these. The straps were way too loose on my foot. Disappointed.

For a Born shoe I expected better. Very bulky, too wide and no bend in the shoe. Very stiff.

Strap on heel too long and not adjustable :(. Will be returning but I’m sad because these are super cute and comfortable otherwise!

NOT comfortable on my feet - weird footbed. first thing i thought to myself was foot torture.

I found this shoe to be extremely uncomfortable and clunky. The leather is hard and thick, which makes it difficult to adjust. They came off immediately. Not for me.

The straps are scratchy and look very plastic like. Returning.
