They are very comfy for long miles. I use them for trail running and backpacking. Not the lightest shoe or the best looking (in my opinion) but out on the trails they are my first choice.
I'd also recommend:
Altra, for a wide toe box, like Topo.

Loved finding a trail runner that is wide enough to wiggle my toes!

This Mtn Racer is beautifully made, but quite firm in its cushioning. Even tho it has ZipFoam it's a much more firm feel than the Ultraventure 4. And it has less stack height than the Ultraventure. Plus, my usual 7.5 Wide was at least a half size short, but has good toe room.
I'd also recommend:

These Topos felt great just standing in them - great width across the forefoot and a secure heel. But after walking just a little in the house I noticed they're quite firm feeling and have "hard" heels - can't feel the Zipfiam cushion like I do in the Vista or Ultraventure. But my feet are more sensitive now to a shoe like this. They do feel supportive, if that's a main feature for you.

This is my second pair of Mtn Racer 4. I have wide feet so am pretty limited in shoes I can wear and the medium width is fine for me. The upper is very durable but is a bit warm for summer. Good traction. Good for high mileage days.

These run larger than my Phantom 3s. A bit too tight in the midfoot, and a bit too loose in the heels.

Didn’t care for the plasticy accent reaching across the front of the toes but whatever. Shoes themselves felt great…until the left heel collapsed. After just 3 weeks of use! Epic fail!
