Boots look great, leather looks nice, love the contrast stitching. I can imagine someone saying the stiff upper rubs their shin - but I always wear boot socks so not a problem for me. Very pleased.

I am returning the shoe because it is just a bit too stiff and chafes my legs at the top. Plus, the sound of squeaking as I walk across the floor is pretty loud!

I have a pair of dark brown suede Sorel Joan Now Chelsea boots from last season that are perfect in a 7.5. Maybe this style felt too small bc the material is different. Beautiful boots! Love the taupe color & black chunky soles. Great for the damp weather season here. Ended up with an 8. Boot socks a must for me to avoid ankle scarring from the edges.

The toe box is really stiff & I think sizing up would only make my feet slide forward in the shoe like it's done in other Sorel's, which seem to run narrow. They're too uncomfortable to keep & Zappos won't exchange the next half size up for the sale price, which stinks. They're really cute but also don't have a pull on tab, which they need regardless of having a zipper. I don't love the Sorel tag on the back either, which has kept me from purchasing shoes of theirs in the past.
