With the changes to the Clifton 10, I decided to go back to the Challenger 8. Hoka has not changed the shape and width of this shoe and it is as comfortable as ever. Not exactly the Clifton 9 but I will take it. I wish Hoka would stop changing their shoes so drastically. I have been a Hoka wearer for years and now cannot wear most of their new models due to the changes.

Those shoes fit me good, I will just have to break them in a little. With so many variations in athletic shoe sizing I have a problem in finding the correct size when buying them over the internet. But these shoes should work for me Ok.

The Challenger 8 wide is wider than the Challenger 7 wide which I love. However, the midsole is much softer and squishier like a marshmallow, so I returned the shoe. I don't like soft midsoles and I don't feel they are safe on trails with uneven surfaces.

Love the Hoka brand and these shoes, purchased for hiking, were comfortable the first time I wore them.

Great shoes for rucking. Cushiony feeling but good grip for hiking.

Just like all my other Hokas fits very well and very comfortable during my 5 mile walks daily. You will not be disappointed. Love my Hokas.

This is my first time using Hoka and the experience is great, confort, support and the look…in general are excellent sneakers.

OK, I admit I tried several brands trying to save a few bucks. I finally broke down and went with the Hoka and they fit and feel great. I do not trail run so these are my everyday shoe and I have no complaints.

Fit as expected. Very comfortable running shoe.

These aren't roomy enough across the toes for my husband's Size 13 3E. Most Hokas are in the Wide width. The length was perfect and the cushion height.

This year's Challenger 8 is much too narrow in the Wide width - at least for my 3E toe area width. Usually this style has been fine. It's also 1/2 size short - normally I'm a 13 in every Hoka but not this one. Cushion is good, tho, and great lug outsole.

Great fit lengthwise, minimally narrow for my bunioned foot, but better than the size 14 Callenger 8 wide.

Shoe was great until it wasn’t. Sole delaminated after only a few months. Then neither Zappos nor manufacturer would honor the warranty.

Shoe fits well but it is stiff, moderate cushioning.
