I am a long time wearer of the Arahi model. They recently moved the new Arahi 8. I overpronate and wear orthodics. I feel the new model is not as stable as the Arahi 7 and my feet are overpronating and causing me flare up for my tarsal tunnel (like carpal tunnel but in the feet) that I have in both feet. I would return them and go back the Arahi 7, but I can't find them anywhere - not Hoka, Amazon, etc - in my size (7W). They are extremely lightweight and cushy - but not as supportive for the original intent of wearing the Arahi's - stability and overpronation.

The new Arahi 8 fits more like the Arahi 6, thankfully. I had worn the Arahi 6 for quite a while, and the Arahi 7 did not work for me at all. Thankful they made this change. Hoping they’ll add more color options.

I have been buying Hokas for years, but they keep changing the fit. I have had Arahi 8 before, but these don't fit right. There is not enough support in the ball and toe area. I don't know which Hokas to get. Last summer I tried on a bunch of Hokas but they all felt weird or not enough support.

These seem to be exactly what my feet needed! I'm a nurse in a busy pediatric office and was having arch and really terrible heel pain. I've only worn these for a week so far so time will tell but so far I've left work with no foot pain and feeling like I could keep going many more steps. The upper material is very soft but completely supports my whole foot. I have Haglunds deformity on one foot and these shoes do not irritate it further. Very thankful I found these!

i found this Hoka Arahi 8 to be a great running, all around walking tennis shoe. I am typically a size 6 and the 6 was perfect for both length and width (medium) . Very cushy and offers stability. I have never worn Hoka's before so I was skeptical. But love these. For reference, I run around 3 miles/day and workout regularly doing rowing, and walking as well as cardio and had foot surgery on my left foot so I am very fussy about my workout shoes. these are great.

I was firmly in the Hoka Arahi 6 camp, owning numerous pairs and while a bit heavy feeling my feet felt very supported, with excellent stability so I walked in a neutral stance. I skipped the 7's and thought I would try the 8's. I work 2 days a week, back to back and am on my feet all day except for 1/2 hour for lunch. I try to switch my shoes off each day. Currently I'm also using the lastest Cliftons. This Arahi 8 does not feel as supportive or comfortable as the 6's. The heel padding is not as soft. My right foot over pronates and the 6's helped that but not the 8's. I've tried multiple brands (Asics, Saucany (awful) and Hokas) and always loved Hokas. But recently they just aren't feeling like they're up to my hard days. Last night after my two work days my right heel, where I had plantar fasciitis in the past, was starting to act up which is very disappointing .

Not all people who wear Hokas are runners. Many of us are older women with foot conditions. I have a condition called "fat pad atrophy" and my feet are narrow and pronate. I have five pairs of Arahi 6s and five pairs of Arahi 7s. Both worked just fine for me. The Arahi 8 has many changes that have ruined it for me. The J-frame cradled my foot perfectly; the H-frame feels unstable and the arch doesn't seem right. The heel-to-toe drop (now 8 mm instead of 5 mm) is too great for walking and causes a backache for me. The 8 is wider; I remember that many wearers complained that the 7 was too narrow. But a Wide version was available for them. A Narrow version of the 8 is not. I am so disappointed. There are still a few pairs of 7s available from diverse shoe stores, so if you loved 7s, look for them quickly.

The comfort of the shoe is great. The material is horrible. It holds stains doesn’t wash clean and doesn’t hold up as well. I wouldn’t buy them again.

This new model of Arahi is terrible. I have been buying Arahi for the past four years and loved them. The Arahi 8 do not have the neutral support I need. These are too soft, no support, and little to no stability. I really dislike the fabric as well. I know that soft sounds nice but when standing for long periods of time the ball of the foot and heel sink so low that the arch pushes up into the foot with too much pressure, causing pain. Then when sitting it is as if there is no arch support at all. The softness of the sole doesn’t support my stride as I walk making my movements feel unstable. If you like Bondi you may love these. I need shoes that meet my activity level with good support.

I've worn the Arahi 6 and 7 and have loved them both. I bought the Arahi 8 in my normal size and whoa! Major difference. There is more space in the toe box and the size seems to run big. I've also read reviews of the drop change and many aren't happy about it. It went from 5 mm to 8mm and I must say, I'm not too happy either. My feet loved the 5mm drop and felt very secure in the previous styles. Why change it? I wish they would go back and hope they do with the future Arahi models. I mean I still like the shoe but find myself scraping the shoe when I walk because of the drop height change.

The shoes are much narrower than Arahi 7 which were already too narrow. The 8mm drop is quite a change from 5mm. Why? Why don't you have another stability shoe if you're going to totally change the last and keep the Arahi's the same?

Color was great! Hoka has changed their sizing, and I previously wore Women's 10 in Hoka running shoes and now I ordered a 10.5 and it fit the same as the 10's in last year. I think this has better support for a wider flat foot.

Arahi 8 fits different than 7, it is wider, longer and support feels visibly different-softer and less arch support compared to 7. Returning.

I have been a huge fan of the Arahi for years. Have had at least 8 pairs of them. Sadly, the Arahi 8 has been changed and not for the better. The arch no longer fits my foot. And the overall fit is just different. Hoka why ruin a good thing? Returning.

First time trying Hoka, and unfortunately I wasn’t impressed. I over pronate and have minimal arches at this point and was hoping to find a shoe that was supportive and stable, but the shoe felt larger than my normal size and was narrow through the arch and back. Also, the material felt cheap considering the price of the brand. I may have to go back to Brooks brand instead. But Zappos does make exchange/return process very easy.
