This is my first pair of Ghost 17 GTX, and they are a solid choice for waterproof shoes. They felt comfortable right out of the box on a longer hike and provide good support and ample cushioning for aching feet. I ended up sizing up by 1/2 size for the perfect fit, because the waterproof shoes tend to run slightly tighter than their regular counterparts. Definitely a 5-star shoe!

Was wearing ghost max 2. They were the best shoe ever for my plantar fascitis. The Ghost 17GTX not enough to padding for heel. Got them because they're waterproof. Wish the ghost max was waterproof

I think the size may be a bit smaller than "true to size", but I have been using this shoe for years, so I know I just need to keep ordering the same size. My last pair came apart (sole parted from cushioning layer) two weeks after arrival, but Zappos took care of refund and re-order easily. I like the waterproof layer for winter or rainy day wear, and cushioning is outstanding. I can't speak to support, since I use orthotics for that.

Usually buy running shoes but let me tell you these walking shoes are running through my dreams. Great cushioning without feeling cumbersome and they seem to propel you forward with every stride.

This is my daily dog walk shoe and has come in handy now during snowfall and rain. Stays completely dry no matter what and has typical Brooks-level comfort. Im a wide 2e normally, so I had to go up one size to make this shoe feel right.

Too narrow I wish they made a Gore-Tex shoe that was extra extra wide. people with wide feet wanna have dry feet also

Love the shoes. I have already run a 5k in them. They feel just like a regular pair of sneakers despite the fact that they are gore-tex. Size is expected and they medium width is perfect. I normally wear a size 9.5 and its the same in these shoes. Loved the fun color combo.

These are amazing shoes for the cold and rainy days. Overall great fit and comfortable ride. Plus they warmer and keep my feet dry. These are exactly what I needed to get me through the chilly wet washington winter.

I wear these all day working in a shop on concrete. They are worth the money! I will be buying these again. Super comfy shoe saves my knees, hips, & lower back. If brooks made a shoe for mechanics this is it.

I work in the medical profession and am on my feet all day long. These shoes are so comfortable, and sturdy at the same time. Also, Brooks has made the back end of the shoe at the top a little longer, and it makes for a good grip when putting these shoes on, and adds a little more stability to the shoe, as well. Overall, it's a well made shoe, and I will purchase it again.

Why the Ghost 17 GTX only available in one width when the "regular" Ghost 17 is offered in four different widths? I'm wearing wide / 2E and GTX are too narrow for me.
