I wore this shoe with my custom orthotics for a week around the house. We only have tile floors. By the end of the week, my neuroma was really painful. I’ve worn custom orthotics for 3 years and they keep the neuroma from hurting…until now. It might be the roll of the shoe, I’m not certain but unfortunately these are going to be returned. I took out the orthotic and just wore the shoe with the accompanying insert. The pain became much worse. Even worse than if I walked around barefoot. Otherwise, it’s a very comfortable shoe with excellent cushioning and I would say that it’s made better than even Hoka’s. It’s just not for my troubled foot. Sizing was spot on; 9, wide. I have a wide foot that swells do to a bone injury. This shoe was very accommodating for that condition.

I love Brooks running shoes and have always worn the Ghost style for many years;however this particular style rubs against my ankles on the inside making them sore. I'm not sure if it is the difference in heel drop compared to the other Ghost models but I had to return this style.
