I bought the size 9 in navy with the white soles. I already own several pairs of Skechers, and these do not disappoint. I actually thought they had the permanent shoelaces and realized that they are tie ups after I ordered them. Thought about cancelling the order, but I really wanted the navy-blue color in this style, so I kept them. I am an old, 71-year-old, overweight guy, and I love the slip ins with the permanent laces, but these actually work about the same, except that you can adjust the tightness yourself. At least with these, I tied them to the snugness I wanted, was still able to slip them on, and voil. Walked my usual couple miles and then went to the grocery store with them on and they are very comfortable. The upside to tie laces is that if the shoe stretches you can tighten as needed and if your feet swell, you can loosen them. So far, so good. I love the look, love the style and they are extremely well cushioned and comfortable.
I actually recently purchased the Glide Step Altus turn outs in white with the permanent stretch laces and I love them as well. However, they were mildly tight when I bought them but have quickly stretched out a bit. They're not loose, but they were snug and after a couple three weeks they are not snug any more. But still fit me well. But, for one, they're white, so they show dirt easily, and two, I wanted an alternate walking shoe in case the white ones got messed up or misplaced or whatever. So, I bought the navy blue.
Plus, I just recently retired and all I wear now are shorts and blue jeans. I have ended up wearing the white ones for everything, so I needed an alternate pair for a change of pace.
For reference, my feet are a little on the wide side, and these are medium width and fit me well. Both the white pair and these blue Glide Steps seem to be just a bit on the wide side of medium. Some Skecher models are way too narrow, but not these. Everybody's feet are different, so if you can, of course it's always best to go try them on. But if you have a standard size 9, these should fit you well.
I highly recommend these. Your feet will thank you :)
