Not my first pair. The addition of the padded insole is a huge step up. Workmanship is equal to my previous pair (2019) though I'd have preferred this pair to be a bit darker.

I have looked at other brands and materials for this style of boot and I keep coming back to Clarks because these are the best quality for the price in my opinion. The shoes are more than adequately cushioned, little break in time is required so if you're wearing these for long days you'll be comfortable. Despite the short laces and two eyeholes I can get a really nice lockdown fit with a double knot. These shoes pair very well with a tapered pant, and can be worn for a variety of outings. I am not sure if it's a Clarks thing but on the outer heel you see a lighter color put out which to me looks a little bit like bad craftsmanship but it doesn't annoy me enough to look for another boot.

they were ok, just too small. most reviews said to order 1/2 to 1 size smaller because they ran big. i did not, i ordered my regular size and could barley get my foot in them.
