I train in these shoes (and sometime race in them) almost everyday. I own a couple pairs and rotate them - logging almost 600 miles per pair. I've never had an issue. I'm at about 2,000 miles this year in North Face AltaMesa 500 shoes.

Long time Ultra Trail Runner. After 12 pairs of " HOKA Speedgoat " I am trying out the Alta Mesa 500. Good fit , good toe box room, stable shoe and fit. Very promising ! The midosle is a little firm - could be a softer durometer. So far so good !

Wear this shoe in all weather conditions and work condtions. As a full time time professor and ED nurse, this shoe works great for all of that, and no pain at the end of a 16 to 18 hour day. Very comfortable and easy to clean as well. Doesn't make your feet smell which is always a bonus.

I use these for trail running and hiking/backpacking. Great shoes. They have excellent cushioning but still retain stability on the uneven surfaces. Durability is excellent. As a side note, they also dry quickly after a wet creek crossing.
