I HAD to respond to the lady who bought a TENNIS COURT SHOE for HIIT and mixed activity. DO NOT LISTEN TO HER. She should have bought a TRAINER, not a COURT shoe. These are specifically designed for RACQUET sports, not basic training. They focus on stability for LATERAL (side-to-side) movement. They're not really meant for running, plyobox jumps, or any other form of crossfit activity. They have treads for court sport movement, stability so you don't roll your ankle when you're side stepping for a ball, and a lot of heavy TPU on the inside toe boxes for toe dragging. This is an EXCELLENT shoe for the court: Tennis, Pickleball, Padel, Racquetball, Squash, etc. NOT HIIT and NOT crossfit. Get a shoe for THAT. smh

I’ve been wearing Barricades on the tennis court since they first came out, so I have seen many iterations of this model. When they brought the Barricades back a couple of years ago with this newest style, the first version was very stiff, uncomfortable, and plastic-y until well broken in. They’ve made some tweaks got it right with this latest Barricade 13. It still offers outstanding support and durability expected from a Barricade, but they are comfortable out of the box and feature lots of breathable mesh on the upper, which makes a huge difference in terms of appearance, flexibility , and venting. I love these shoes and hope Adidas keeps this version around for more than a season!

Not impressed by the look or the structure of theses shoes. I ordered them only because they were mentioned to be good for training, HIIT and mixed activity workouts. They were too stiff and plastic feeling. I also didn’t like how the laces were off centered (see pics). I did appreciate the flat wide bottom of the shoe which offers stability and balance. I wear a 5 or 5.5 and the size 5.5 was just a bit too long.

This fit true to size; nice wide toe box and comfortable right away. Felt a little low to the ground for my preference. Also, shoelaces are thin and don’t give as much control as athletic (round) laces. I found a KSwiss that was more comfortable/more supportive.
