Personally I had to go a size up, when I received my first pair they were too small. I called Zappos and they immediately sent a new package before the end of the day. Better than I expected! Really happy with this purchase and im glad i saved money here instead of buying from the actual site. Im a size 9 1/2 in womens US so i tried on a 9 at journeys but my toes hit the front while i walked and it was so uncomfortable. I ordered the size 10 here and it fit comfortably! no blisters at all, but I would still recommend fluffy socks.

Leaving a review to help out others who are confused about the sizing. Please get these in the closest full size up if you are a true half size. I am a true 8.5 measured with and without a sock..and the 8s in the Jadon smooth and Pisa leather are way too small lengthwise. The toe box will not stretch. My toe hits the front in the 8s and is perfectly comfortable in the 9s. With thick socks, the 9s are comfortable immediately. I will probably need an insole once the leather relaxes but the insole of the Jadon isn't substantial anyway, so they will just be more comfortable. The length isn't the issue in the 9s, it is the volume and width of the shoe that is slightly too big but, again, the 8s are way too short. I think Dr. Martens are TTS it's just that the unisex models allow for more space in the shoe for men's feet. Again, if you are a half size and care about the health of your feet, size up and if you need to put an insole in. By the way, the 8s gave me horrible bloody heel blisters after wearing them for about fifteen minutes. I wore the 9s out of the box for an hour long walk and only have a slight bit of ankle rubbing, as to be expected though with a new boot. The 8s feel stiff as a board underfoot and the 9s have the bouncy soles feeling. So, I think if the shoe is killing your foot and doesn't have the bouncing sole feeling that they are probably too small for your foot. Dr. Martens are meant to look/be roomy!

Some reviews online said to size down but I have slightly wider feet in the toe box area and I’ve found that sizing down for boots with other brands leave my toes squished. I’m a typical size 6.5W and ordered a 7W. They fit big which is fine but I added an extra insole for comfort. It fits way better with added insole and thick socks. They give me an extra few inches of height which is cool. They are a bit on the heavier side though and I can see how people with larger feet might look like they’re wearing clown shoes with these.

This is my 6th or 7th pair of DMs. I ordered my usual size 7 (uk 5) and they fit perfectly like my others. The leather on these is really soft and MUCH easier to wear straight out of the box than my other Jadons. Very comfy and bouncy as you walk. They are kind of heavy, but not more so than other Jadons or any other real leather/quality boot. The zip up on the insides is really nice and smooth to use. The color (lilac) is exactly as it shows on the pictures! And AS ALWAYS these will forever be in style just like any DM shoe. Because of the awesome quality these will last forever too, so that’s nice! These would look great with black laces too! The only thing I don’t like is the length of the laces. I feel like they need to be a few inches longer so you can lace them up totally AND tie them. This is true with just about all of my lace up DMs even though I don’t have particularly wide feet, ankles, or calves.
