I first ordered the classic style with no buckle but they were way to tight. I have wide feet and a high instep. I returned those and purchased the yellow and red with the buckle. The red felt better at first and the yellow in the same size were tight on the top of my foot. My normal size is 8 1/2 - 9. I ordered a 9. I followed the salt water recommendation to soak them and wear until dry. They were immediately softer, had no rubbing and after doing this twice they fit great! Really comfortable and cute.
