These are a wider sandal, which is fantastic when your child has wide feet. I LOVE these sandals, and so does my son. They go from river to lake to store to church to park...these are amazing shoes and hold up quite well. I have bought him a new pair, every year, for the past 6 years...sadly, they only go to a little kids size 3. We need them to be made for bigger kids!

This is our first pair Saltwater sandals, so I concerned about ordering the correct size for my daughter, the first time. I HIGHLY recommend going to the company's website before ordering. If you Google Hoy Shoes Size Chart, click on the link and you'll be directed to their sizing calculator. They provide super simple instructions on how to measure yours or your child's foot, measure in centimeters and type those measurements into the calculator, you then have the perfect size! Had I not done so, I would have ended up with clown shoes I would have had to send back. And a toddler screaming about how I took her new shoes away! And even though Zappos return policy is great, I was thrilled to not have to go through that process. These adorable shoes are the exact perfect size we needed! And will go with everything in my daughter's closet. I cannot speak to how they hold up in sand & water, yet. . . But other reviews are good, and these will be put to the test all summer. She wore them all day yesterday, and seemed comfortable. My only gripe would be that she did get blisters on the backs of her heels. . . But breaking in new shoes is rarely fun. I need to come up with a solution for that, other than a band-aid (allergic to the adhesive). Other than that, we both love these shoes! And Zappos customer service is always stellar! Thanks for the ridiculously fast shipping!!
