The item is as described. A little narrow for wide feet. Maybe buy a 1/2 size bigger. The shoe provides ankle support. I wear them for work as I am on my feet a great deal and do much walking in them. These shoes are helpful but may not last too long because the sole of the shoe is thin. Yes, I would recommend this shoe.
