I have never written a Zappos review before but I really appreciate reviews left by others and I absolutely love these booties so I thought that I would share. They are beautiful! They are cuter in person than online and made of a really soft, high quality leather. They look great with skinny jeans - not too casual, not too formal - and I think that I will wear them with leggings and skirts, too (which is saying a lot - I have big feet and thin ankles and am really self-conscious about short boots). Most importantly, I wanted to comment on the sizing: these run a full size big. I wear a firm 11, which means I usually go for a 42, but I went ahead and ordered the 41 and 42 at the same time after reading other reviews (thanks, Zappos' return policy). The 41 fits me perfectly - there is actually a bit of room to spare at the toe. They are rather narrow, which is great for my feet but might be challenging for someone who needs a wider fit.

This boot lists that it has a leather upper, leather lining, and man-made sole and heel. Note that this boot is made from top grain, not full grain, leather. Leather type is quite hard to discern from pictures and the descriptions are usually vague. Thus, the vamp and side areas of the boot are quite thin and will stretch with wear. The bottom sole and heel are rubber, slightly textured on the heel to similate a stacked heel, but I will probably take them to a cobbler to put a Vibram sheet on the bottom to increase traction in wet conditions. The footbed and body are slightly narrow, but this strectched after just a few hours of wear. I expect the leather will take multiple wears to stretch to fit. I normally wear a 7 on my left foot and a 7.5 on my right and the 37s fit a bit tight - room in the toe but tight across the top of foot. I bought both a 37 and 38 and kept the 37 as it will stretch, expecially considering how thin the leather is. The toe box is set forward such that my toes were not in the rounded portion of the shoe and were not cramped. The toe cap itself is stiff but not too hard - do not kick a wall while wearing these as you will hurt toes. The shoe is longer than my foot and kind of elongates my foot. My feet do look a size bigger while wearing them because of the long toe box and the space on the top of the boot vamp - as the picture shows, the center top edge does not lay flat against the top of my foot. Rather, it stands out from the foot and there is a 0.75" space between the top of my foot to the boot front while I am wearing them. The color is a normal cognac, not too redish, but must be set with leather conditioner or wax before wear to prevent wear to prevent horizontal wear lines across the toes and top of vamp. Water does not seems to hurt the dye too much - my boots got sprinkled on as I walked across a parking lot (before I waxed them) and the drops dried without leaving water marks. Zipper seems sturdy but I expect it will be the first thing to fail, since the rest of the stitching seems well done. Overall, a nice boot with decent build quality. The price point is such that I did not expect them to be made from full grain leather, but the leather that is there is real (not bonded) and constructed well. Very stylish and looks great with cuffed skinny jeans.

Love these booties! I have been looking for chic style, beautiful leather and Comfort and I found it. Oh my. I cannot say enough. I wear a 7 and 1/2M. These come in 38=7 and 1/2-8. There is definitely 1/2 size of room left, but they are for fall and winter and I will be wearing socks or a liner -- so they are perfect. The width is a regular medium. Soft leather like no other boots I tried on for the season, with a flexible sole. Beautifully made in Spain. Thank you. Worth more than they cost. Mmmmmmwhaaaaa! Get them.

Beautiful shoes! I bought in navy. They run about a 1/2 size big but still worked for me. To check the size I re-ordered one size smaller and received a completely different shoe- instead of navy these were robin egg BLUE and stamped with "made in Portugal." Very odd! I returned the blue shoes and kept the navy pair. Zappos, check your quality control.

These booties are so comfortable right out of the box. At first, was a bit disappointed with the upper material, but as I wore them I found they were perfect for Virginia winter weather. They wipe off perfect and am so pleased to have a nice looking, comfy bootie that isn't delicate. Another great boot from Zappos.
