I am raving about the white cracked leather Carsons. They are my 3rd pair of Carsons and are much softer, pliant, and take no time to break in, unlike my black pair and my tan pair. They are so much nicer than pic; they are beautiful! They're almost a soft gold or tan, without seeming metallic yet on the verge of it. They are like slippers; I just went to try them on to make sure they fit, and I ended up wearing them for the next six hours! (with no socks) Definitely slightly different (softer) leather than the other plain colors. The fit is perfect, as I always take an 8 in Fryes, and these need no break-in time.(My foot tends toward the wider, but shorter side). I have a lot of Frye boots, and these are the softest pair of any Frye product I own. I would say buy your regular Frye size, or if you have never purchased the brand before, they might run slightly larger, but just a tad, not by much. These are a great neutral and if you do not want a show stopper bright white or bright gold shoe, than this is a good alternative. Go for this color, I am pretty sure you will love it. Note to Zappos:Please reshoot the picture of this white crackle leather shoe (then just try to keep it in stock, and it will be a big hit)!

I wasted my money on these. I wanted to treat myself to a pair of nice leather flats and figured Frye would be my best bet. I knew these would have little to no arch support and that is true, these are really flat for flats. They are comfortable (when you expect no arch support) and the leather molds to your foot. However I am very disappointed in the quality. I have had them for about two years and have worn them occasionally (they are not my everyday shoe) to work (I work in a carpeted office) and to church during the fall and spring (winter is for boots and summer is for sandals) and I am disappointed in how they have worn (see photos) and in spots the soles are separating from the body. This pair of shoes is the most expensive pair I have ever purchased and are the most destructed and worn-out. Do not waste your money unless you plan to only wear them in fields of cotton.

Felt great when I first slipped my feet into them, but after walking around in them for awhile, I realized they are awful! The main issue I can see is that they have no lasting structural integrity; due to the softness of the leather, the sides and back start to buckle in such a way that the shoe loses its shape. You can see the reason for the issue in the video here. If you look closely, you'll see the model's foot arch is partly exposed, and there is a gap. I think if you have high arches, like me, there isn't as much for the shoe to cling to as you wear it. And again, the leather is so soft that it ends up sagging. It sounds like I would need to try a size down to solve the problem, but that is not it.

I just got these shoes today, and straight out of the box, they fit like a glove--as if they were made for my foot. The metallic color is sophisticated, but still stylish, however, the hue is very similar to my skin. I'm not sure if I like that, and was hoping for something that would have more pop. I haven't decided if I will keep them or not yet, but they are a beautiful shoe.

Be careful with the sizing! I followed others' advice to size down. Unfortunately, the shoes were too small. My usual size is 8.5 and in Frye boots I size down to an 8 but this did not hold true for these flats. My advice is to not size down. Too bad because these are really cute flats!
