Customers Say

Customers love these classic sneakers for their durability, noting they can be worn for 2 years without breaking in, and appreciate their versatility as they go with almost anything. The shoes receive positive feedback for their value, with customers saying they offer great quality for the price. While customers find them soft and comfortable, some mention the sole is very stiff, and there are mixed opinions about sizing, with some finding them true to size while others say they run smaller than expected.

These black 'Boks' are my "go-to" shoe for travel. I've worn them all over the world for walking comfort and support, and I don't stand out as a "white athletic shoe American". They've been wonderful for days of museums, galleries, trekking, etc., and can even go to an evening concert without standing out too conspicuously as an athletic shoe. Love 'em!

So the stitching on the "parchment" color is pink and blue, you can't really tell in the picture and it's not in the description and I'm not impressed. Also I paid $85 and now they are $60.. I know Zappos does this all the time but I am annoyed. Don't think I'll bother trying these on, they're just going back.

Overall these are nice sneakers. In my opinion, though, I think they run a bit narrow in the toe box. These was not enough to send them back. I have shoe stretchers, which I used to gain a bit more width. From past experience, I have also found that, over time, this type of material will stretch, so I also took that into account with my decision not to send them back. In saying this, I will also state that I am accustomed to wearing Sanita clogs which have a much wider and deeper toe box. However, I needed sneakers for physical therapy, and these sneakers are quite adequate These have good support, though not to the level of my Sanita professional clogs. These sneakers are comfortable to wear. I wear them with a light sock. I might buy these again, but then again I might look for something with a bit wider toe box.

My faves... wearing my old ones out! Comparing my old pair, admittedly comfortably worn-in and the new ones, same size, about 7-8 yrs later ( I'm not hard on my shoes and don't wear these a lot) I find the construction good, support good, and toe box good. The new ones are stiffer and maybe a bit narrower, but I'm hoping they'll break in nicely...

I have two pairs of shoes that I absolutely love and since I know the shoe and the size rather than look for them in shoe stores I just order from Zappos. The price is good, service excellent.
