This was the replacement pair. The first pair made the most obnoxious and embarrassing sound with every step I took, there was no way I could wear them in public. The second pair is mercifully silent. As I mentioned in my initial review, if you are in between sizes, go with the smaller size. They feel generously sized.

These are cute and I was excited to wear them today for the first time. But what an unpleasant surprise to hear an audible and very annoying "whoosh" of air out of of the sole with every single step I took all day long. There is no way I could keep shoes that make this sound, no matter how cute and comfortable, so they are on their way back. I did re-order...figured I'd give it one more chance. As for the size, I would call them true to size, but they have a generous feel to them, both in length and width. Not so much that I'd say they run a half-size big, but enough that if you are sort of in between sizes, I'd recommend you choose the smaller.
