I am really surprised there are no reviews for this shoe - there are many YouTube basketball shoe reviews that are extremely favorable for this Stewie 3 model. Note - I am not a basketball player, I was just looking for a good athletic shoe that wasn't a running shoe, that I could wear casually and be comfortable. Bonus, it is lavender / purple, my favorite color. Well-constructed with a lot of built in support for lateral movement that's camouflaged as decorative pieces on the body of the shoe. Even the sole is cute, with flower designs subtly embossed throughout. The upper is not the usual mesh athletic shoe look, but a feminine lace design, and the shoelaces are even scalloped and curvy, not the usual straight look. I'm 66 yrs old, but these are great for any age!
NOTE: Examine the shoes you get carefully to make sure they're new - the first pair I received had no Puma box, no paperwork and the soles were a bit dirty, so I returned and ordered another pair. The second pair arrived and they actually had GRAVEL in the treads, it was worst than the first pair! Returning those, I crossed my fingers and ordered a third pair and specified to Customer Service to please make sure they were New in Box. Third pair was great, pristine and comfy. The sale price is very reasonable and I liked these so much I ordered another pair to have a spare. Happily, the fourth pair arrived just as new and pretty as the third pair, so I am all set.
Regarding size - This is a court shoe and is not a slim, sleek, running shoe design. These tend to be more rounded in front to provide good stability for the balls of your feet for front, back and side to side movement. I am normally a size 7 in Skechers Go Walks, but these Pumas run much smaller. I tried a 7 and 7.5, but both were too short and too tight in the toe box - I had to go to an 8 to be able to wear athletic socks comfortably. I don't do any sports at the moment, but if I ever take up pickleball, I'll be set with these shoes! Right now these are fantastic for casual wear or going to the gym.
