I have been on the hunt for the perfect black sneaker walking shoe since my favorite Romia style was discontinued. We are preparing for a Europe trip where I expect to walk 10 miles a day and I am looking for another shoe where I can do this without intense pain or blisters. After buying 5 different Ryka Black pull-on sneaker styles in two sizes for each (and even trying quite a few other brands), I have finally found "The One" I want to stock up on. Honestly, the other styles didn't even come close. These have amazing cushion and arch support, I love the stretchy pull-on style and the backs are soft and pliable enough that they don't pinch my heel. I wear size 11 exclusively in all other brands, however, I sized down to a 10 in this particular Ryka style so you might consider sizing down at least a half size as well. If they made a 10.5 that might have been ideal, but in my case the 10 still felt better than sizing up to an 11.

I don't usually take the time to write reviews but thought this was needed. I have never in my life tried on a shoe like this before. The entire alignment of my foot changed (tilting inward, unnaturally) when I put the shoe on. I thought that was odd and took the shoe off to inspect it. Underneath the shoe, the rubber sole on the outer edge of the foot juts out further than the rest of the soul, and then tapers down toward the inner part of the shoe, which is why it causes the foot to tilt inward. This is a design flaw in the shoe, in my opinion. Again, I have never before felt such disruption in the way my foot aligns. I feel like this could cause some serious damage. I wish they would revise this, the shoe looks nice otherwise, and I usually love Rykas!

I bought these for my birthday, and it's been one of the best purchases I've made in a while! These shoes are extremely comfortable, and I bought them to wear to work and around town to run errands. I love that they are slip-ons, but look like a regular pair of sneakers. The shoe fits true to size, and is very supportive. I have high arches and can tell a difference in my stride as a result of the stabilizing sole. I would definitely buy these shoes again. Please keep making them, maybe in more colors?

I ordered both the 9 and 9.5 ( thank you Zappos) because I often have to get the 9.5 in athletic shoes - however - the 9 is perfect!!! Got the white and would love to have the black. Talk about comfort!!! These have the ties but are actually a slip on - but are so comfortable! I put them on and did my walking program - wonderful! Am anxious to watch for the black as I would like to take these on My Italy trip next October.

This is my second pair of Ryka sneakers but my first pair of slip ons. After a few weeks of wearing, these shoes are comfortable but I'm not a fan on the slip on feature. I miss having a tongue which pads the top of the foot. The laces are really just for looks and have no function.
