ARE THESE “Speed Eco” by Merrill WATERPROOF? Other Merrill’s I have would say so.

I wore these hiking through Sedona on hilly and rocky, steep trails. Hit some mud puddles and rain and never had wet socks or damp feet. As far as submerging my feet in water, I never did do that so can’t say if they were waterproof. Definitely water resistant however. They were excellent with a non-skid sole and good support. They were comfortable and washed up great after washing them in cold by hand when I returned home and they were dry within 24 hours outside in sunshine. I hope this helps.

Run slightly large, so moved down a half size. Wife loved the way they look and says they are super comfortable. Also, +1 to Zappos for being so easy to do returns and get the shoe that fits correctly!

I ordered a half size bigger since reviews indicated that. They were big and hard to wear even around the house. Didn't like the tough material.
