These shoes are really fun and adorable on the foot. I ordered the "gray" which is really like a warm taupe-gray. It's very cute with gray or blue jeans. I haven't worn them outside the house yet, but just wearing around the house, the velcro fastener has held firmly and it very adjustable. I have a narrow ankle and foot but a wider toe area (bunions) so the wider toe box is wonderful and pain-free if you have a similar issue. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a distinctly unpleasant chemical/rubber smell when you open the box. I let the shoes sit out for about an hour and it has dissipated greatly. One other item to note is that I always wear an 8 or 8.5, but in this shoe the 38 which listed as a 7.5-8 is plenty roomy.

These shoes are fab. Very comfortable, and the buckle is Velcro, so it’s easily adjustable. Tons of compliments. I’m an EM doc, but as faculty I have to do admin stuff around the hospital, so these fit the bill as comfortable and just dressy enough (I wear tennis shoes when on shift). I think that on my ultrasound shift days with students/residents, I can wear these easily. They are about a 1/2 size big on me, as all of this brand are, but the strap makes it work. A 34.5 would be perfect, but the 35s are still keepers.

I own several pair of L’ArtistenSamdals which I wear home amd travel. They have an element of cuteness and style to causal wear and will dress up outfits too. This was my first try at the closed toe style. These fit like a MaryJane. The heel-Box is a tiny bit wider than expected but not enough to complain. Wear a little thicker non-slip dress sock. The color is exactly true to picture and so versatile.
